Catly was one of the stranger announcements at The Game Awards last week, and has since been put under the microscope with accusations of AI, blockchain, and NFTs being used. However, developer SuperAuthenti has now denied the use of this tech.

According to SuperAuthenti, no generative AI was used for either the announcement or the game. A PR rep told IGN that the team was “very surprised by such speculations.” Also stated: “We do not think there are any existing AI tools that can produce a video like that. Industry experts have echoed this opinion.” IGN was able to see a version of the trailer showing in-progress shots interspersed alongside the final version, which seemingly confirms no AI was used.

Chernobylite Complete Edition gameplay

A new round of gameplay has dropped for Chernobylite Complete Edition. Fans can check out 37 minutes of footage from the sci-fi survival horror RPG.

Jumper Jon

Ogre Pixel’s upcoming game Jumper Jon is planned for Nintendo Switch, the developer has confirmed. The title is targeting a 2025 release.

Jumper Jon is officially described as “a 30-second Metroidvania-style platforming adventure”. Players will “discover the source of the imbalance between good and evil on Earth and fight against it.”

Trombone Champ 1.30B update

Another update just went live for Trombone Champ with version 1.30B.

More songs are available with “Carol of the Bells,” “Hanukkah Oh Hanukkah,” and “Puttin’ On the Ritz! joining the playlist. Various improvements have also been implemented, including more accurate pitch bending.

LISA Definitive Edition physical

Today, Serenity Forge and Dingaling Productions announced that they’re producing a physical release for LISA: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch. This comes as the series has reached one million sales across all platforms.

LISA: Definitive Edition will be sold standalone and as part of a Decade of Joy Collection. No matter which version you buy, you’ll get the game, sticker sheet, a digital soundtrack download card, and reversible cover. The Decade of Joy Collection adds the Brad and Buddy golden pins diorama, exclusive trading card set, Terry Hintz print, and cloth painting.

Neon Apex: Beyond the Limit

Publisher Numskull Games and developer Repixel8 are teaming up on the new game Neon Apex: Beyond the Limit, the two sides announced today. The title will be launching on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2025.

Neon Apex: Beyond the Limit is an arcade racer at its core. The story and style are inspired by the likes of Persona and Akira.

Bendy: Lone Wolf

Joey Drew Studios is working on Bendy: Lone Wolf as its next project, the developer revealed today. The game arrives on Nintendo Switch in 2025.

Bendy: Lone Wolf is the latest entry in the horror series. Bendy and the Ink Machine previously made it to Nintendo Switch in 2018.

Agatha Christie Death on the Nile

Today, Microids announced Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile. The game lands on Nintendo Switch in 2025.

The new project is based on one of Agatha Christie’s novels. Microids is exploring a new direction by adding new plot points and advanced gameplay mechanics. The murder mystery takes place in Egypt in the 1970s.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending December 14, 2024 is now available.

The top four spots are the same this week, with EA Sports FC 25 again taking the #1 slot. For Nintendo Switch exclusives, it’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still holding on at #4. Super Mario Party Jamboree is also back in the top five after switching with Nintendo Switch Sports.

Dragon Takers is planned for Nintendo Switch release, publisher Kemco and developer Vanguard confirmed today. As of now the game appears to be targeting a January launch.

Dragon Takers is a fantasy RPG with strategic, turn-based combat. The title’s main mechanic is the “Skill Take” ability which lets players steal skills from defeated enemies.
