When you think demons, you think about terrible sentient monsters that aim to do nothing but torture you and inevitably drive you to death. But what if you were put in a position where the very thing that’s nurtured to torment and cause perpetual trepidation becomes the cause and reason for your survival in a world that’s quickly dissipating?

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker wants you to experience this firsthand, with an extensive and elaborate narrative that shapes itself by how you choose to respond to certain situations, whether it be during gameplay in the battlefields set all around Japan, or during a cut-scene where you’re sometimes prompted to choose how to respond when interacting with another character. This is a game that wants you to be personally invested, to the point where they let you name your character, both first name and last. You’re only given a certain amount of spaces to input your name, but most names should fit with ease like mine did – Keanu Reeves.

More:

We don’t hear much about the Wii U Basic Set/Pack these days. That being said, it looks like Nintendo is still trying to offload some stock that never cleared out.

A Scandinavian listing has popped up for a new Wii U Basic Pack bundle, which comes with a physical copy of Splatoon. This is different than the recently-announced Premium Pack bundle.

Thanks to Andre P for the tip.

More footage from High Strageness has come in ahead of its release on the Wii U eShop this Wednesday. View it below.

Kirby Triple Deluxe celebrated its first anniversary on May 2. Intelligent Systems celebrated the occasion with a special post on Miiverse, and director Shinya Kumazaki explained how the game’s name came about.

BeautiFun Games is including an original mode in the Wii U version of Nihilumbra. Players will be able to try out new co-op mode, which appears to be exclusive to the eShop release.

While in co-op, one player will control Born while a second will control the brush/colors. Both will need to work together to escape from the Void. BeautiFun believes the mode “will add a whole new layer of fun to the game” and “seemed a clever way of exploiting the Wii U technology to enhance the Nihilumbra experience”.

We heard earlier today that Nihilumbra is due out on May 14 in North America. This date has now been confirmed for Europe as well. As is the case in North America, those who buy the game through May 28 can save 20 percent. It will normally be priced at $9.99 / €8.99.
