SEGA on Sonic Boom’s recent silence, more news on the way – including a surprise and 3DS assets
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 6 Comments
SEGA’s Stephen Frost recently shared an update about Sonic Boom over on the Sonic Stadium forums, including why there hasn’t been much news about the game since its announcement.
Frost explained that the announcement’s timing took place when it did due to “key reasons”. There are also various partners involved since Sonic Boom involves more areas than just a video game (like the upcoming television show).
Starting at E3 next month, fans can expect regular updates about the Sonic Boom title. We’ll see new screenshots, a first look at the 3DS version, and even “a bit of a surprise”.
Head past the break for Frost’s full comments.

Cosmochoria tentatively targeted for early 2015 launch on Wii U
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
The Kickstarter-funded indie title Cosmochoria is tentatively slated to launch on Wii U early next year.
Creator Nate Schmold outlined plans for the eShop release in a Kickstarter update, noting that he’ll likely concentrate on this version once “the game is mostly done”.
He said:
I will be testing the Wii U starting this summer once i have a more stable build with some additional optimizations in place. Once the dev kit arrives I’ll be sharing / streaming the progress of my testing, but chances are I wont be able to fully focus on the Wii U dev until the game is mostly done, as I’d first need the full features of the game implemented before I can start tying things to the Wii U control schemes etc. Basically anything i do regarding the Wii U dev i’ll be sure to post about it, though – for those that are interested. 🙂

A little bit of information about Plenty of Fishies
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Nitrolic Games shared a few details about Plenty of Fishies – the studio’s Wii U eShop title – over on its official forums. You can find the information below.
Unfortunately with this version of Plenty of Fishies, there is no asymmetric gaming; it’s just another controller, with a screen essentially. If the game is popular enough, I have another one mode planned which will add a very interesting mode to the game. 🙂
There are a about four different game modes… three single player, and three multiplayer. two of each are duplicated between the two if that makes sense. The game is very challenging, but that’s what makes it really fun – trying to get that high score makes it a very rewarding task. I’m truly excited to see how high of a score people can get… there really is no limit as to how high you can go… no ‘perfect’ run… it really is the person with the most luck, and skill!
Plenty of Fishies’ trailer is located here.

TicToc Games interested in bringing Adventures of Pip to 3DS
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
TicToc Games has interest in bringing its indie title Adventures of Pip to 3DS, the studio has said.
Creative director Marc Gomez told GoNintendo:
If Unity does support 3DS we’re all over it! If not, we do have stretch goals that haven’t been revealed yet. I will say we have a lot of 3DS fans in the office that would love to support this. We don’t want to say yes until we can deliver something we’re proud of and a development strategy and funds to do it right.
Senior producer Cathy Camacho added:
The sky’s the limit with Kickstarter! We would love to see Adventures of Pip on the 3DS. We have a lot of Nintendo 3Ds fan in the office and would love to support it. We do have stretch goals that we have not revealed yet… [WINK WINK!]
Adventures of Pip is currently planned for Wii U – assuming the Kickstarter target is met. You can find the game’s campaign page here.
