Microids to release Asterix Maxi Collection: Platinum Edition on Switch

Asterix is celebrating its 65th anniversary, and in honor of the occasion, Microids is preparing the Asterix Maxi Collection: Platinum Edition. It’s due out for Switch on October 31, 2024.
The collection includes a total of six games, all of which are included on a physical cartridge. Also included is a unique silver figurine of Obelix, accompanied by his loyal companion Idefix, proudly holding a stack of Roman helmets.

New data gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of August 2024.
No new games cracked the top five, but the Switch version of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles did appear at #8. The Bandai Namco release sold 23,234 copies on Nintendo’s console in its first month. Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025 was the overall top seller.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter getting Switch physical release

Limited Run Games has secured another Star Wars physical release, this time for Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.
Three different versions are planned: standard release, Premium Edition, and Master Edition. With the Premium Edition, you’ll get the game, commemorative coin, Jango Fett enamel pin, steelbook, reversible 12” x 18” poster, premium foil box, and individually numbered certificate of authenticity. The Master Edition has everything we just mentioned plus lithograph prints, bounty tracking journal with sticker sheet, hardcover strategy guide, and metal Mythosaur skull.

No Man’s Sky continues to receive big updates, and the next one known as “Aquarius” has now been announced. It should be rolling out soon on Switch.

Square Enix today announced its lineup for the 2024 Tokyo Game Show.
A few different Switch games will be on hand, including Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, Fantasian Neo Dimension, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, PowerWash Simulator, and Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. Final Fantasy XIV, Final Fantasy XVI, and Visions of Mana will also be featured.

Tracks: Toybox Edition came to Switch a few years ago, but it just received a pretty big version 1.7 update.
Described as a quality of life patch, a number of improvements have been added. The game now features autosave and quicksave support, toybox enhancements, and even Brazilian Portuguese. There are other aspects as well like bug fixes.
