Nintendo has posted another update to the Smash Bros. Blog for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This time around, we have an introduction for Richter.

Here’s the overview:

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate remains its position at #3 this week.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between July 26 and August 1.

Nintendo asked Switch owners last year to decide on whether hot dogs are sandwiches. Ultimately, the consensus was that they are in fact sandwiches having taken home 54% of the vote. One year later, the tides have turned.

Nintendo again asked Switch owners to vote on whether hot dogs are sandwiches a few weeks ago. This was done through the system’s news channel feature. This time around, the results were shared.

Smash Bros. Ultimate is out in December, and after watching the latest Nintendo Direct, I thought I would take the opportunity to discuss why this small time Smash Bros. fan is big time hyped. Beautiful Belmonts, tantalizing tunes, and a copious amount of content is just part of the appeal. Join the conversation and make sure to leave ‘what new character you would like to see join the battle’ in the comments!

Doom Eternal is a direct sequel to Bethesda and id Software’s Doom from 2016, which came out on Switch last year. Some might be surprised that the title isn’t being called Doom 2. However, there is reasoning behind that.

Executive producer Marty Stratton told IGN that the team considered the name Doom 2, but offered the following explanation as to why Doom Eternal was ultimately chosen:

Speaking with Eurogamer, id Software’s Marty Stratton has shared more information about the plans for Doom Eternal on Switch. Stratton indicated that the Switch version will launch alongside other platforms, officially confirmed that Panic Button is working on the port, and the team is targeting 30 frames per second.

Below are the relevant excerpts from the interview:

Aksys Games has uploaded two new videos for Little Dragons Cafe. Posted below, we have a trailer focusing on the cafe management part of the game plus the first making of video.

A few screenshots have come in showing off the new Spy Gear for Splatoon 2 in-game. Get a look at the images in the gallery below.
