8Bitdo today unveiled the 8Bitdo DIY, a new mod-kit capable of turning original controllers into wireless Bluetooth gamepads. It’s compatible with NES, Super Nintendo, and SEGA Genesis controllers plus the Japanese Super Famicom or Mega Drive controllers and Classic Edition versions of Nintendo’s gamepads.
There isn’t any soldering involved here. When you make a purchase, you’ll get the instructions and hardware, which includes a Bluetooth radio and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Sonic Mania update out now (version 1.04)

A new update has gone live for Sonic Mania on Switch. Version 1.04 is out now.
It goes without saying that today’s update paves the way for the new Sonic Mania Plus version. Other than that, it’s unclear if there are any other changes or additions. We’ll report back if any other findings turn up.
Note that there’s a $4.99 upgrade price for Sonic Mania Plus for those who previously purchased the original game.

In the future, Splatoon 2 will be adding in the Nautilus 47 as a new weapon. Nintendo shared an early look at it in action, which you can find below.

Daedalus: The Awakening of Golden Jazz coming to Switch in Japan this year

Famitsu has announced that Daedalus: The Awakening of Golden Jazz is releasing for Switch in Japan later this year. This is part of the newly announced Jake Hunter Detective Story series that depicts the early childhood memories of Jake Hunter.
More information should emerge with upcoming Famitsu leaks and when the magazine is published officially. What we know thus far is that Hirotaka Inaba is in charge of the scenario, and development is 55% complete. Also, a demo will be included with Jake Hunter Detective Story: Prism of Eyes.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime physical release announced

Super Rare Games has announced the next release in its physical Switch collection. After previously hitting the eShop last October, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime will have a boxed version, the company has revealed exclusively to Nintendo Everything.
Only 3,000 copies of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime – a co-op space shooter – will be produced. The Super Rare edition will include an exclusive sticker as well as three trading cards randomly selected from the five-card set. Developers Adam Winkels, Jamie Tucker and Matt Hammill have signed 125 of these cards.
N.E.R.O.: Nothing Ever Remains Obscure announced for Switch

N.E.R.O.: Nothing Ever Remains Obscure was originally going to be a Wii U title. While that didn’t happen in the end, publisher SOEDESCO today revealed that a Switch version is in the works. It’s due out physically and digitally on October 26.
N.E.R.O. is a “first-person storytelling experience that takes you on a miraculous journey, through a realm of incredible beauty.” Find some additional details and a Switch trailer below.

Nintendo’s San Diego Comic-Con 2018 lineup and plans

Similar to past years, Nintendo will be attending San Diego Comic-Con 2018. The company announced its lineup and plans for the show today.
At the Nintendo Gaming Lounge, featured in the San Diego ballroom of the Marriott Marquis & Marina adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center, fans will be able to go hands on with a variety of Switch games including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Other highlights include a special dance floor for Just Dance 2019, a family-friendly challenge in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and a photo opportunity in front of a colorful backdrop inspired by Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
