Gravity Rush concept artist Takeshi Oga recently attended an event where illustrators and concept artists discussed their work. As part of this, Oga revealed that he actually took some inspiration from late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata’s “directly to you” pose, which was often demonstrated during Nintendo Directs. This ended up having an influence on a design element in the PlayStation 4 game Gravity Rush 2.

Here’s what Oga shared:

Mario Tennis Aces

A few hours ago, news unexpectedly leaked concerning today’s Nintendo Direct. A Japanese retailer outed a Switch version of Sushi Striker and leaked a few release dates, including Mario Tennis Aces.

We may have some news pertaining to North America now as well. US-1 America, a video games distributor, has listed potential release dates for a trio of titles.

Microids and Frima shared new information about the Switch title Super Chariot today. The news is highlighted by a launch month: May 2018.

Super Chariot will be sold physically, though only in Europe and Australia. It’ll include the game, the Royal Gadget Pack DLC, and the original downloadable soundtrack.

Nintendo has updated its maintenance schedule once again, showing that a bunch of additional maintenance is planned for tonight. Sessions are planned for Pokemon Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, the first Splatoon, and more.

The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince

Nippon Ichi published a new wave of details and screenshots for The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince today. The latest information covers Wolf abilities as well as some of the systems in the game. We’ve rounded up everything below, courtesy of Gematsu.

Sprite shared some encouraging news about the new Switch version of Aokana: Four Rhythm Across the Blue. Ahead of its release, the company confirmed that the title is already profitable on Nintendo’s console.

As Aokana: Four Rhythm Across the Blue doesn’t launch until the end of this month, we won’t have sales data for several weeks. But what this tells us is that pre-orders are strong enough to provide Sprite with a solid return. Visual novels don’t tend to light the sales charts on fire, but reservations are good enough where Sprite won’t lose money on the port, and should be able to receive a decent amount of revenue in the end.

Arc System Works has posted a few different videos for the Switch game Cube Creator X. We’ve rounded them up below.

A bunch of DLC is dropping for the Japanese version of Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings today, including a new playable character in Lucia Voltaire. Watch the trailer for her below.

The game will finally be released in the West later this month. Koei Tecmo hasn’t revealed its DLC plans for the English version yet.

In addition to Mario Tennis Aces, Rakuten Books also leaked something else: Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido, a 3DS game that was announced at last year’s E3 and hasn’t been heard from since, seems to be coming to Nintendo Switch as well, as you can see by the game’s boxart. Rakuten Books listed the game as releasing on June 8th this year. The 3DS version is also supposedly launching on the same day.

We will likely hear something official about this, including a Western release, in today’s Nintendo Direct.
