PlatinumGames created the Wii U-exclusive game The Wonderful 101 for Nintendo back in 2013. Unfortunately, it was a bit underappreciated, and didn’t sell a whole lot in the end.

Some have been hoping that The Wonderful 101 will find new life on Switch through a potential port. After all, a number of Wii U titles have been crossing over to the new console. Even a couple of Platinum’s other games that released on Wii U – Bayonetta 1 and 2 – landed on Switch a couple of months ago. And while nothing is confirmed, PlatinumGames is interested in making it happen.

Nippon Ichi is publishing Closed Nightmare, a live-action horror adventure, in Japan on July 19.

Night Trap - Nintendo Switch

Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition is coming to Switch, Limited Run Games has announced. A release is tentatively planned for this summer.

There was some talk about Night Trap heading to Switch last year. Screaming Villains apparently was willing to let it happen, but said Nintendo “pulled out two days later for a very random reason.” That reason was never clarified

Nintendo published a new Nintendo Labo video today, posted below, featuring Bill Nye. Watch Nye customize a Toy-Con RC Car, make Toy-Con Fishing Rod, and get creative in the Toy-Con Garage.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze finally has a listing on the North American Switch eShop, and pre-loading is now available. That means you can be ready for the launch of the digital version by paying for the game in advance and downloading the required data. Then on launch day, you’ll just have to connect to the internet one time to begin playing.

Just in case you’re curious, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze can also be pre-loaded in Europe. That option has actually been available for quite some time.

May is going to be a busy month for Switch, and that’s expanding with one additional game. Team17 and Villa Gorilla have announced that the pinball platform adventure Yoku’s Island Express is launching on May 29. Pricing is set at $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99.

Nintendo has updated the Japanese website for Nintendo Labo with a bunch of cardboard parts. The Variety and Robot Kits are both represented here, so they can come in handy if you happen to break or misplace something. The full set of parts can be found here.

We’ve known for a while now that Daedalic Entertainment’s futuristic adventure game State of Mind would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Today, the developer announced that the game will finally be released in August 2018. They also confirmed that the game is getting a physical release, as you can see by the game’s boxart above.
