Nintendo now offering PDF versions of Nintendo Labo’s cardboard parts

Nintendo has updated the Japanese website for Nintendo Labo with a bunch of cardboard parts. The Variety and Robot Kits are both represented here, so they can come in handy if you happen to break or misplace something. The full set of parts can be found here.

State of Mind launching in August; new teaser trailer & Switch box art

We’ve known for a while now that Daedalic Entertainment’s futuristic adventure game State of Mind would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Today, the developer announced that the game will finally be released in August 2018. They also confirmed that the game is getting a physical release, as you can see by the game’s boxart above. Splatoon 2: Custom Range Blaster being added to the game soon

It’s the end of week, which means another new weapon is coming to Splatoon 2. The Custom Range Blaster is identical to the regular Range Blaster in terms of stats, but comes with the Curling Bomb sub-weapon and the Bubble Blower special instead. It’ll be available tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later tonight in North America.

Dragon Quest Builders 2: a few more story and gameplay details

The latest issue of Weekly Jump magazine contained some new information on Dragon Quest Builders 2 (thanks to Gematsu for the translation). First up, some details on the game’s story: when the protagonist is washed ashore on the vacant island where the game takes place, they hear a mysterious voice telling them to go to the top of the island’s mountain. There, they find a mysterious stone monument bearing five crests. There are also numerous stone pillars on the island which are engraved with trials, which the protagonist must pass if they want to become a “Master Builder”.
There are also some new and improved gameplay elements compared to the first game, such as diving, gliding with the wind mantle, dashing, waterfalls and making diagonally-shaped blocks.

“Outrage Smasher” Group Match is a team based battle competition on a fixed arena, you will receive various titles for participating in the matches. Matches will last til April 23rd. The next one has also been announced as “Volt Shock Fist” and will start up April 25th.

Nintendo Labo interview part 2 – nose-picking prototype, decision to use cardboard, much more

Earlier in the month, an interview was published with Nintendo Labo director Tsubasa Sakaguchi, Switch director / Nintendo Labo producer Kouichi Kawamoto, and Nintendo Labo hardware lead Mr. Ogasawara. The developers had plenty to say about the new initiative for Switch during that discussion.
Today, the second portion was published online. The three developers had even more interesting things to share, including prototypes, why cardboard is used, and more.

Nintendo’s online store now has replacement parts for Nintendo Labo

Nintendo has previously said that replacement parts would be offered for Nintendo Labo. Now that it’s launching tomorrow, the company’s online store has updated as promised.
