Yooka-Laylee dev posts update on Switch port efforts

Playtonic Games has added to their website an update post on the progress of Yooka-Laylee on the Switch. The indie developer has stated that it currently cannot commit to a release date due to some bugs in the current Unity engine. The arrival of Unity 5.6 should fix these issues, according to Playtonic.

Switch maintenance planned for tomorrow

Online play of unspecified software will be disabled during a time of server maintenance tomorrow. Switch games may be impacted during the downtime.
Here’s the schedule:
– 5:50 PM PT (September 26) – 7:30 PM PT (September 26)
– 8:50 PM ET (September 26) – 10:30 PM ET (September 26)
– 1:50 AM in the UK (September 27) – 3:30 AM in the UK (September 27)

Attack on Titan 2 confirmed for Switch in the west

Attack on Titan 2 was announced for Switch during the Tokyo Game Show this past weekend. Koei Tecmo followed up with news for the west today, confirming that the Switch version will also be released in North America and Europe.

A.O.T. 2 delves deeply into the fascinatingnarrative of Attack on Titan’s second season and offers players exhilarating action and new challenges, as it introduces the newly improved omni-directional mobility gear offering advanced freedom of movement and targeting precision to counter enhanced Titan movements.
Players will be able to try their new moves against these fearsome Titans as they control characters from a Titan-sized roster! Outside of battle they will be able to deepen their relationships with their fellow squad-mates while gaining greater insight into life within the walls thanks to more advanced RPG elements.
Attack on Titan 2 will launch for Switch physically and digitally in early 2018.
