Splatoon 3 Tournament Manager

July 26: Nintendo has revealed the Splatoon 3 Tournament Manager, a brand new feature in the works for the Switch shooter.

According to the official announcement, it will “help support the creation of private tournaments using the Private Battle feature”. Nintendo intends for it to link Splatoon 3 to the SplatNet 3 service “to help players create and manage tournaments on demand.”

Super Mario RPG update 1.0.1

Nintendo just issued the first update for the Switch version of Super Mario RPG via version 1.0.1.

A number of bug fixes are included here. Most are for game progression, but an issue was also fixed when using Thought Peek on Straw Head and Reacher.

Here’s the full rundown of the update:

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk guides list

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are still fairly new, and yet they’re still some of the most popular Pokemon games of all time. There’s a ton of things to do in the game from filling out your Pokedex to hunting Shiny Pokemon to creating a competitive battle team. We’ll be hard at work on brand-new Indigo Disk guides for the new DLC, but this master list also archives every single post we’ve written for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s base game as well as its Teal Mask DLC pack.

Hogwarts Legacy update

A massive update came out today for the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy. This is build version 1181827.

Warner Bros. says the update “addresses overall gameplay visual experience and stability improvements.” A ton has been improved and fixed, including audio, characters, areas, and performance.

Here’s the full rundown:

Doom SIGIL II

Bethesda has made new add-ons available for a couple of its classic Switch releases, with Doom (1993) and Doom II receiving SIGIL II while Quake players can access QDOOM.

SIGIL II is a free episode containing nine levels. John Romero, one of the co-founders of id Software, led the way on its development.

Freedom Planet 2 delayed

Freedom Planet 2 has been delayed on consoles, including Switch. XSEED Games and GalaxyTrail confirmed today that it’s been pushed back to Spring 2024.

Freedom Planet 2 was last planned for this past summer. Now the game is moving out of 2023 entirely – which isn’t a surprise given how little time there is left in the year.

XSEED said the following about the Freedom Planet 2 delay:

Itorah physical

Today, Red Art Games announced that it’s working on a physical release of Itorah for Switch. It’s due out in Q2 2024.

Itorah will be sold standalone and as a Deluxe Edition. The standard edition will be sold everywhere, but the Deluxe Edition will be exclusive to the Red Art Games online store. It includes a copy of the game, a sleeve, and an exclusive art book.

Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for November 2023.

Hogwarts Legacy seems to have done well on Switch with the game seeing a 100 percent month-on-month boost. Super Mario Bros. Wonder comes in at #5.

More: ,

Just a few short days ago, Nintendo officially announced the release date for the new Sora amiibo. And according to a recent datamine of Splatoon 3, they’re not done with new figures just yet.

A thread from ashbinary_ on Twitter goes in-depth on Splatoon 3’s resource table, which contains references to content not currently available in-game. This includes new weapon kits, unreleased stages, and unreleased sets of gear. Two of those unreleased gear sets have the amiibo brand, which implies that Nintendo is planning to release at least two more new amiibo figures for Splatoon 3. That being said, the reference to these amiibo doesn’t necessarily guarantee their release – though it would make sense for the release of the Side Order DLC next year.
