Battle Chasers: Nightwar officially delayed on Switch
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 23 Comments
All signs pointed to Battle Chasers: Nightwar being pushed back on Switch, but we were holding out a tiny bit of hope that it would make the initial launch next month. Unfortunately though, a delay is in fact happening.
Airship Syndicate provided an update on the situation as part of a Kickstarter post. Currently the holdup amounts to some updates from Unity, the engine Battle Chasers was built with. A release date is unknown, but apparently the delay isn’t expected to be significant.
Here’s the full status update from Airship Syndicate:

Final Fantasy XV director says no official plans for Switch version, exploring the system from a technical side
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 73 Comments
It’s been a strange past few weeks in terms of Final Fantasy XV potentially coming to Switch. Director Hajime Tabata originally seemed to tease some sort of Switch version at Gamescom, but things have changed regularly since then.
Our latest update comes from an interview with Famitsu. Officially, there are no plans to release Final Fantasy XV for Switch. Square Enix is conducting technical examinations to learn what sorts of things they can create on the platform. They are trying to see if optimizing their own engine would be better or if using Unreal Engine makes more sense on Switch. Also, somewhat similarly to what we recently heard, they are sharing their status with Nintendo and Epic. That’s what Tabata told the overseas media, but it turned out to be reported as they are planning to port Final Fantasy XV to Switch.
Tabata isn’t ruling anything out for the future. For now though, he’s focused on Final Fantasy XV for PC, the game’s new DLC, and the PC version.

Fire Emblem Warriors DLC announced
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in New Nintendo 3DS, News, Switch | 248 Comments
At the Tokyo Game Show today, Koei Tecmo announced that DLC is coming to Fire Emblem Warriors. Three different packs are planned.
First, later this year, DLC based on Fire Emblem Fates will be released. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon DLC will follow in Winter 2018 (towards the start of the new year). Finally, Fire Emblem Awakening will have DLC in Spring 2018.
All DLC will be priced at 1,400 yen. However, players will also be able to purchase all three pieces of content as a set. Doing so reduces the price from 4,200 yen to 3,000 yen, and a special bride costume for Lucina pictured above will be offered.
