Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update 2.4.0

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe just started distribution of its latest update, version 2.4.0.

The patch is highlighted by the new Booster Course Pass DLC. Eight more tracks across two cups have been added, along with new playable characters – specifically Kamek (Mario Kart Tour), Petey Piranha (Mario Kart Double Dash!!), and Wiggler (Mario Kart 7).

Even if you don’t plan on nabbing the DLC, you’ll want to download the update as some other aspects are included. These include performance improvements of some characters and vehicle customizations, adjusted invincibility time of some characters, lowered appearance rate of Mirror and 200cc races in Worldwide and Regional settings, and more.

As life races by at the speed of a Blue Shell, it’s important that we all take the time to enjoy some good old-fashioned vroomin’ from time to time. Fortunately, in this week’s episode of Nintendo Everything Refresh we finally get to take a deeper look at the next round of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC, which is bringing back some classic tracks that have at least one of us unreasonably excited. Nick and rising co-host Dawn will also discuss what the heck is going on with Pokemon Sleep, nerd out about the newest Sakurai deep-dive on Kid Icarus Uprising’s development, and much more!
