Interested in seeing the Turok games on the Virtual Console? Then let Classic Media know!

Classic Media now owns the rights to the Turok franchise and the company is open to the idea of Virtual Console releases. One fan has apparently been told that now is the time to speak up, so if this is something you’d like to see, send an email to [email protected].

It sounds like the Turok titles would head to the Wii U as opposed to Wii, which makes sense since Nintendo’s older console is out of the picture. Still, things could be tricky givem how the N64 VC hasn’t launched on Wii U just yet.

Collectorvision has not one, but three titles planned for retro systems as well as the Wii U eShop.

In addition to Justice Beaver for the Wii U eShop and SNES, Collectorvision is cooking up two additional projects. The first is Sydney Hunter & The Mayans Revenge for NES and Wii U eShop. Sydney Hunter & The Caverns of Death is also planned for the eShop along with the SNES.

Footage from Sydney Hunter & The Caverns of Death can be found above.

Update: European date is now confirmed and SteamWorld Dig should be out in North America around the same time:

The European Wii U eShop is currently listing SteamWorld Dig for release on August 28. We’re trying to follow up with Image & Form to verify that the date is accurate.

August 28 would definitely make sense. We just heard a short while ago that Image & Form is targeting SteamWorld Dig’s Wii U launch for late August.

SteamWorld Dig’s Wii U version is launching towards the end of this month, developer Image & Form confirmed on Twitter. This is actually earlier than the studio planned.

Aegis Defenders, a new 16-bit tactical platformer from GUTS Department, has a chance of coming to Wii U. The game’s Kickstarter will need to hit $150,000 for this to happen.

Although raising such a high amount may seem unrealistic, Aegis Defenders’ Kickstarter did manage to collect nearly $40,000 in its first day. There’s also over a month remaining in the campaign.

You can check out Aegis Defenders on Kickstarter here.
