Wii U

The Japanese Xenoblade Chronicles X bundle boxart is here and, just like its standalone counterpart, it is gorgeous. If you’re curious about what contents are on the inside of the bundle, you can check it out here

A message posted to the Japanese Miiverse community provides a brief update on Mario Kart 8’s downloadable content. Development of the second DLC batch is now in the final stages, which makes sense given that it’s targeted for launch in May. Those in Japan can also use this link to purchase DLC from mariokart.tv.

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart! Highlights include Bravely Second at #2, Theatrhythm Dragon Quest at #5, and Xenoblade Chronicles X at #6.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between February 11 and February 18.

Back in 2013, Monochroma ended up with successful funding thanks to Kickstarter. The game had been planned for several platforms, including Wii U. But a new update from developer Nowhere Studios suggests that Monochroma is no longer coming to Nintendo’s system.

When asked about the Wii U version, Nowhere Studios said:

Sorry about it, we’re currently working on Xbox One version and Wii U is probably canceled. But if things are good on Xbox One we will work on PS4 and Wii U versions as well.

That certainly sounds discouraging. You have to wonder why the team isn’t as interested in working with Wii U at this point.
