Wii U

Following up on our last report, we have another round of details about Hyrule Warriors from Famitsu and the game’s official site. The latest information further covers the Gerudo Desert and Temple of the Sacred Sword along with more story tidbits, sealed weapons, and the Manhandla enemy.

Here’s the full roundup:

There are no plans for Hyrule Warriors to make use of Amiibo, Nintendo has confirmed. Destructoid asked if the game will offer any such support and was told in response:

“Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be the first game to support amiibo. Other games that will support amiibo include Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10 and Yoshi’s Woolly World, with more to come.”

I can’t say this is too surprising! If Hyrule Warriors were to support Amiibo, we would have heard about it by now in all likelihood. Nintendo also previously stated before this recent comment that the figures would launch with Smash Bros.

Bandai Namco has announced the latest Kamen Rider game, “Kamen Rider SummonRide”. It’s planned for both Wii U and PlayStation 3.

Kamen Rider SummonRide has one major hook: the use of toys like Skylanders. Players will be able to buy different figures and use them to enhance gameplay. Each Rider figure has its own elemental property, like Hibiki who is based in Fire.

We’re also hearing that the figures will be backwards compatible with Kamen Rider: Battride War II in some fashion.

The wait was incredibly long, but the Nuketown 2025 map finally came to Call of Duty: Black Ops II on Wii U yesterday. That might not be the only piece of new content heading to the game.

IGN spotted the Die Rise in Black Ops II’s menus, though it hasn’t actually been added just yet. We’ll have to wait and see if it ends up being accessible.
