The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild maintained strong positioning on the UK charts. As mentioned yesterday, it was the sixth best-selling individual game for the week of March 25, and the tenth best-seller on the all formats chart.

According to GamesIndustry, sales of Zelda experienced a 50 percent boost. The site attributes that to Switch stock, as “units begin to trickle their way back into retailers”.

Earlier today, the Glide Mini Game was announced for Minecraft on consoles. It should be coming to various systems tomorrow, including Wii U. Tons of footage can be found after the break from a live stream on Twitch.

One mini-game in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild tasks you with gliding as far as you can. Players are now trying to come up with inventive ways of extending their run and going for the world record.

In a new run, one person used Link’s paraglider to travel 7,616 meters across Hyrule. This was done in 22 minutes, as shown in the video below. It wasn’t easy, and some tricks were used – such as using bomb arrows and the wind as well as plenty of potions to restore Link’s stamina.

Starting tomorrow, Minecraft: Wii U Edition players can participate in the new Glide Mini Game. It’ll put your aeronautical skills to the test, as you’ll be flying around in an aerial track. Additional free tracks will be offered at a later date.

The Glide Mini Game features two modes: Time Attack and Score Attack. The former has you using thermal drafts and speed boosters to obtain the fastest possible time while the latter encourages wracking up points by hitting all the hoops. Single-player and multiplayer options are both included. A more spacious lobby will be included as part of the update.
