GameStop is taking pre-orders for several products showcased in last night’s Nintendo Direct. The Super Mario Odyssey Switch bundle, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Special Edition and Pro Controller, New 2DS XL Poke Ball Edition, Doom, and more are available. Everything can be found here.

Amazon Germany has started taking pre-orders for a bunch of stuff announced during last night’s Nintendo Direct. These include the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Collector’s Edition and Pro Controller, Poke Ball New 2DS XL, Super Mario Odyssey Switch pouch, and Kirby Battle Royale. Everything is up here.

Are you aware of the fact that Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle isn’t actually out in Japan yet? The much-lauded game has been available in the West for a couple of weeks now, but hasn’t hit Nintendo’s home turf yet. We’ve known for a while now that Nintendo are publishing the game themselves in Japan, and that it would be released sometime next year, but in the recent Nintendo Direct, a concrete date has finally been revealed. Turns out that Japanese fans won’t have to endure too much of 2018 without Mario + Rabbids as the game is launching on January 18th.

A Reddit user named TacoBeans44 posted on the Nintendo Reddit page that there seems to be a Mr. Game and Watch reference in the latest Super Mario Odyssey trailer. The mini-games you can play in the different Kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey have different icons that closely resembles Mr. Game & Watch. A nice little callback due to Mario’s history on the Game & Watch handhelds.

PowerA is celebrating the launch of Super Mario Odyssey with a new Joy-Con grip. It features art from the game with a “lightweight, ergonomic design for comfortable gameplay anywhere”. Included are double-injected rubber grips

Bethesda announced two new games for Switch today. Along with Wolfenstein II, the publisher also intends to release Doom on Nintendo’s console.

Based on what was shown during the Nintendo Direct, Doom on Switch seems to stack up favorably to the PlayStation 4 version. Here’s a comparison of the two:
