Nintendo on Switch Online N64 emulation issues and complaints

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service launched a few weeks ago, but not without some issues – primarily when it comes to N64 games.
Those that subscribe to the new Expansion Pack tier can access SEGA Genesis and N64 titles. SEGA Genesis seems to be mostly fine, but it’s with Nintendo’s classic console that some players haven’t been happy with the quality of emulation. Input lag, latency, and the lack of controller remapping are among the complaints users have brought up.

Metroid Dread sees highest launch month sales of any Metroid game ever in the US

NPD has shared information about the debut of Metroid Dread in the United States, revealing that the game is off to a fantastic start.
According to today’s report, the Switch title had the highest launch month sales of any Metroid franchise release in tracked history. Launch month dollar sales nearly doubled those of the previous franchise best, Metroid Prime. And keep in mind that this only applies to physical data – Nintendo doesn’t report digital, so it almost certainly did even better than that.
October 2021 NPD: Switch was the best-selling console

According to this month’s NPD report, Switch was the best-selling hardware platform of October 2021 in the United States. That goes for both unit and dollar sales.
Switch is the best-selling hardware platform of 2021 thus far when it comes to unit sales. PlayStation 5 leads in dollars, though keep in mind that Sony’s console is more expensive.
