Leading up to Super Mario Maker’s release on Sept. 11th, we’re highlighting some of the coolest, most creative, or just plain ridiculous levels users have created so far. In this episode, we check out the level “The Ultimate Test” from Michael in the UK.

If you have any suggestions for more levels we should play, just fire them our direction in the comments!

Seafoam Gaming has uploaded a video showing Star Sky on Wii U. Check it out below.

In October, a special Super Mario Bros. screen painting will go on display in Kyoto. It comes in celebration of the series’ 30th anniversary, as well as the 400th anniversary of the Rimpa school.

Mario is represented as “Raijin” (Japanese god of thunder and storms) in the piece while Luigi is shown as “Fujin” (Japanese god of wind). These two tend to be paired in Japanese art, much like Nintendo’s famous brothers.

The painting itself is created in Rimpa style. For a look at its creation, check out the official Nintendo video below.

Original (8/29): Rayman creator Michel Ancel created his own level inspired by Pac-Man in Super Mario Maker. During the Japan Expo 2015, Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka were given an opportunity to try it out. We now have the full video below.
