Along with today’s screenshot, Sakurai passed along the following message on Miiverse:

Happy Holidays! Here’s a new 3DS stage–Rainbow Road! It can’t be explained in one picture, but it’s going to be a cruise-type stage.

indieszero made NES Remix, but Nintendo was still very much involved with the game’s development. In fact, two prominent staffers from EAD Tokyo contributed to the project.

Koichi Hayashida, director of Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario 3D Land, served as director. We found out about this previously through a message Hayashia posted on Miiverse.

Yoshiaki Koizumi also worked on NES Remix as producer. Koizumi previously directed Super Mario Galaxy and produced Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario 3D Land, and Super Mario 3D World.

Dengeki recently had the opportunity to interview Tomoya Asano, producer of Bravely Default and Bravely Second. The Japanese outlet asked about SP Drinks, Bravely Second’s development status, and more. Asano also revealed at one point that he hopes “to release a game for the Bravely series at least once a year.”

As reported earlier today, SteamWorld Dig will be getting a 33% discount in Europe. The same sale is also planned for North America, Image & Form has confirmed. The 33% drop should be going live on December 26.

The Japanese 3DS eShop is ringing in 2014 with a quartet of sales. Crashmo, Bike Rider DX, The Denpa Men 3, and Soriti Horse will be available for 30% off. The sale begins on January 1 and lasts through the following day.

Nintendo is working on a new update for Band Brothers P, which will introduce a variety of new features. In the future, players will be able to play with friends directly online. Further interface updates are planned as well.

Shortly after last week’s Japanese Nintendo Direct, Band Brothers P owners were able to begin uploading their musical efforts to YouTube through the Suppon H?s? Channel (Suppon Broadcasting Channel). Nintendo also sent out a free eShop app that allows for Download Play.
