You might recall that a few months ago, Embracer Group made headlines by acquiring several development studios and IPs previously owned by Square Enix. Well it seems they weren’t done, as they’ve gone on somewhat of a new acquisition spree.

On the gaming side, Embracer Group has announced that they are acquiring Limited Run Games, Singtrix, Tuxedo Labs, Tripwire Interactive, Tatsujin (notable because foreign studios rarely purchase Japanese companies), Bitwave Games, Gioteck and another as-of-yet undisclosed PC/Console gaming company. Additionally, they are also acquiring Middle-earth Enterprises, a company which owns most of rights in the Lord of the Rings universe when it comes to movies, video games, board games, merchandising, theme parks and stage productions.

SEGA has announced that it will be releasing DLC Bundle 3 for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix on Switch next week. It will be available on August 24, 2022.

A massive amount of content is included here. 72 playable tracks will be added for a total of 250 songs, including Dreaming Leaf, Far Away, Innocence, Iroha Uta, and much more.

SEGA says that the DLC Bundle 3 for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix will take up 20GB of space on your internal storage or SD card. Keep that in mind before the new content drops next week.

Nintendo has released another couple of Switch My Way commercials. Between the two, Splatoon 3, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are highlighted.

Kotaku published a report yesterday regarding sexual harassment claims related to Nintendo of America. After the article went out, president Doug Bowser issued an internal statement. The message was posted to the company’s SharePoint account.

Bowser indicated that Nintendo of America is taking the allegations seriously and is “actively investigating these most recent claims.” You can read more from his note below.

Pokken Tournament DX will be offered to Nintendo Switch Online members as the service’s next Game Trial, it’s been announced. It can be accessed by all subscribers, even if you’re not a part of the Expansion Pack tier.

With the Game Trial, Pokken Tournament DX can be played entirely for free between August 18 and August 31. All progress carries over to the full version. My Nintendo members can earn 100 Platinum Points by participating as well.

The previously-announced Secret Weapons update for Boyfriend Dungeons is out today on Switch, Kitfox Games has revealed. It can be accessed by all players for free.

Earlier this year, Gearbox revealed that the studio has been developing New Tales from the Borderlands. A listing on Amazon now confirms that it will be released on Switch.

New Tales from the Borderlands is a narrative-driven adventure following the original game, which is also out on Switch. We have a description with more information below.

Publisher Lightning Games and developer ThinkingStars are putting ANNO: Mutationem on Switch, the two sides have revealed. The title is set for release on September 1, 2022.

ANNO: Mutationem is an action adventure game with RPG elements. It originally released back in March.

Jade Ember Studios has announced Reliquary, “a story-driven adventure in which you explore the preserved ruins of a long-vanished empire as you fight your way through a land teeming with monsters, magic, and lost technology.” The game will land on Switch this winter.
