This week’s issue of Famitsu has provided some major sales data from Japan, revealing the country’s best-selling games of 2021.

We previously had the top ten, and for those that missed it, Monster Hunter Rise topped the charts with well over two million copies sold. The full 100 can be seen below.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are now the franchise’s second best-selling entry ever, the latest sales figures from Nintendo confirm.

In May 2020, it ranked fourth. In August of that year, it had already moved up another slot to be in the third position.

Red Art Games has announced that it’s partnering with developer Pugware on Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity, an action adventure title. Switch will be getting it on February 11, 2022.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus sold more than any other Switch titles in its first week, it’s been revealed. Initial sales came in at 140,000 copies. Pokemon Legends: Arceus outdid the last mainline entry in the series, Pokemon Sword and Shield.

We just heard yesterday that Pokemon Legends: Arceus has already sold 6.5 million copies worldwide. In Japan, the game moved over 1.4 million units in its first few days. It also saw the fourth biggest Pokemon launch ever in the UK.

A new Nintendo Monthly Rewind video has gone up for January 2022. It covers the launch of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Kirby and the Forgotten Land trailer and release date, new title releases, and more.

Fire Emblem Heroes just reached its fifth anniversary, so now’s a pretty good time to look at how the game is doing. Sensor Tower provided new data this week that provides insight into the game’s revenue status.

Since launching in February 2017, Fire Emblem Heroes has generated $959 million in revenue. It happens to be Nintendo’s highest earning mobile title thus far.

Prototype intends to bring the visual novel Loopers to Switch, the company has announced. Japan will be getting the game on May 28, 2021. Additionally, a western release seems to be happening as English support is already confirmed.

Loopers initially came out for PC in May 2021.

Land of Screens has now released on Switch following a previous delay, publisher Serenity Forge and developer Way Down Deep have announced – and we have a new trailer.

The title was previously on track for December 25, 2021. However, it was quietly delayed, and it’s unclear why the extra time was needed. In any case, you can grab the game right now.

Here’s everything you need to know about Land of Screens:

NIS America has announced that Yurukill: The Calumniation Games has been delayed. The project encountered “development challenges”, and the company says that the extra time will be used “to meet the quality expectations of our customers.”

Yurukill: The Calumniation Games will now release on July 5, 2022 in North America and July 8, 2022 in both Europe and Australia. Back in December, the release date had been announced for June 7, 2022 in North America, June 10 in Europe, and June 17 in Oceania.
