This week, Switch officially turned four years old. Japanese magazine Famitsu celebrated the milestone with a special feature in its latest issue. A list was published as part of that, which shows the top 35 best-selling Switch games so far.
Despite only releasing last year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons took the top spot – and it wasn’t really close. Well over six million copies have been sold in Japan, with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate the next closest at just over four million.

In a recent interview with Yahoo Japan, Level-5 CEO Akihiko Hino spoke at length about the company’s beginnings, reminiscing about memorable moments in his career and sharing insight into the origin of some of the company’s most famous works. Once Hino announced his intent to get into self publishing back in the day, the pressure he faced fueled him to make the Level-5’s first self published title a hit, leading to the birth of Professor Layton.

Last year, Viz Media announced plans to localize Kirby Manga Mania in English. We now have the cover for Vol. 1 above.
We’ll also mention that Kirby Manga Mania Vol. 1, 2, and 3 are up for pre-order. Amazon US has them here while Amazon Canada is taking reservations here here.
Kirby Manga Mania Vol. 1 has a tentative June 8 release date in the west. Vol. 2 should follow in September, with Vol. 3 planned for December.
Mario Kart Tour will soon be ushering its next event. Nintendo is planning the Mario Tour, which will feature the Tokyo Blur 4 – a brand-new variant of the existing Tokyo-based course.
The current event, the Snow Tour, ends on March 9. Expect the Mario Tour to begin right after that.
After it was initially released towards the end of last year, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be getting a new Switch version next month. YouTuber Cycu1 has put together a video showing how it stacks up to the game running on the PS4 Pro.

A few days ago, HORI unveiled a new set of Animal Crossing accessories for Switch. There are plans to release a HORI Pad Mini controller, hybrid pouch, hand pouch, play stand, and carrying bag.
