The Kunio-kun game Downtown Rantou Koushinkyoku Mach, which was first announced in a Nintendo Direct earlier this year, has been dated for Japan. This week’s issue of Famitsu lists a release date of October 10.

Downtown Rantou Koushinkyoku Mach is a new version of River City Melee: Battle Royal Special. It includes the Change Match battle mode in which teammates who are defeated change characters on the spot, along with a Team Edit feature.

The three big giants in the gaming industry are taking a big step forward in making loot box odds more transparent for players. At the Federal Trade Commission’s Inside the Game workshop earlier today, ESA chief counsel of tech policy Michael Warnecke announced that Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony are working on policies that will require this information to be disclosed on their systems.

The online story RPG The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki Mobile will launch for Switch in Japan on August 27, an eShop listing reveals. It was previously confirmed for release this summer without a specific date.

Originally, The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki arrived on PC. Userjoy Japan then ported the game to mobile, which is what the Switch version is based on.

The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki Mobile will only support Japanese on Switch. There’s no word on an overseas launch at this time.

European Conqueror X has received a new update, Circle Entertainment has announced. Version 1.0.4 is out now for all players.

The historic turn-based strategy title has added a new scenario for its “Conquest” mode. Circle says “it has added 1812 as a starting point, shaking up the dynamics and territories as you look to conquer Europe.”

Some fixes are also included in today’s update.

If you haven’t purchased Cadence of Hyrule yet but are interested in seeing what it has to offer, you’ll be happy to know that a demo has been released on the Japanese eShop. It’s not available in other regions as of now, but the Japanese trial does come with an English language option. Nintendo hasn’t said if and when the demo will be offered in the west.

Cadence of Hyrule originally launched on Switch back in June, and the full game can be purchased on the eShop.

Kemco intends to release yet another RPG on Switch this month. According to an eShop listing, Everdark Tower will be out on August 22.
