Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club is almost here, and Nintendo has published another trailer. The video celebrates tomorrow’s worldwide launch.

August 27: The release date for Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland has been revealed, and fans won’t need to wait too much longer for the game. According to an eShop listing, The Mix Games will publish the title on September 10, 2024.

Some of you may remember that we were originally expecting Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland back in March. That ultimately didn’t come to pass, however. The good news is that it looks like we’re only a couple of weeks out from the launch.

Bear Belly Games today announced that its upcoming game Dungeons and Ducklings is heading to Switch. The game will initially come to PC this year, but the Switch version is targeted for 2025.

Dungeons and Ducklings is a retro arcade roguelite inspired by Pac-Man. You’ll play as Mama Duck while navigating through a maze and saving lock ducklings along the way.

Nintendo just published a new Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club developer interview in which we learn how the game came to be, and also got insight into the making of the smile for Emio (or the Smiling Man).

Producer Yoshio Sakamoto and assistant producer Kaori Miyachi took part in the discussion. According to Sakamoto, there weren’t plans for Emio while working on the Famicom Detective Club remakes. However, after seeing Mages work on that release, he “began to seriously think about creating something new again and was motivated to write a new story.”

We’ve got a bit of news for Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream fans, as Bandai Namco today announced a new Open Network Test which fans will be able to download on the eShop. The event will be taking place on Switch and other platforms late next month.

For those that participate, players can explore the virtual world and engage in 20-player raids against unique and vicious enemies such as The Skull Reaper and Sword Golem. They’ll also be able to experience the roles of their favorite characters from the series.

May 10: Nintendo is gearing up to release an official art book for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom known as the “Master Works”. It will be available on August 30, 2024.

The book has 464 pages of content, including various art, concept art from early stages of development, setting documents, storyboards, documents about the history of Hyrule, and a discussion about the game’s setting. Everything is spread out across three chapters covering the art, design materials, and story. It offers a behind the scenes look at the development of the game. It includes comments from the staff as well.

Hamster will release Finalizer Super Transformation as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch, the company announced today. A worldwide release is planned for August 29, 2024.

Pizza Tower just landed on Switch, and 25 minutes of gameplay is available. The title was not only announced for the system today, but debuted right after the presentation as well.

More support is coming to GigaBash, as a new “Mighty” DLC pack has been revealed. It will release on September 5, 2024.

R.O.J.A.K and Balzarr will be added as new playable characters. Balzarr is a Titan from outer space while R.O.J.A.K. is a battle mech controlled by an uncoordinated team of Mighty Warriors.
