Action platformer Spartan launching on Switch on April 1st

Developer Sinister Cyclops announced that their action platformer Spartan will be launching on Nintendo Switch on April 1st. The game is a throwback to challenging 2D platformers of the 80s and 90s. You will need 725 MB of free space on your Switch; the game will cost $11.99 in North America. Watch the trailer for Spartan in the embedded tweet below:

No Hollow Knight at Nindies Showcase today, but info on release date coming later this week

Hollow Knight is currently one of the most anticipated indie games announced for Switch. As such, many people were hoping that the game would be featured in the Nindies Showcase airing later today. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case – developer Team Cherry stated on Twitter that the game won’t be part of the Nindies Showcase. However, they said that info on the Switch version progress and the game’s release date would be coming later this week.

Fifth Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon global mission ends in failure

It feels like it has been awhile since one of the global missions has been failed, but the most recent one has ended short of its goal. It was intended for their to be one million Pokémon traded, but only 771,567 were actually traded. A gift of 1,000 or 2,000 FC is still available via the global link.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Hou coming to Switch in Japan

The visual novel Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Hou is being brought to the Nintendo Switch in Japan by Entergram. The game will release July 26th for 7,980 yen. The game will have all nineteen of the original story’s chapters as well as three additional scenarios for the console’s debut.

This week we get the ultra challenge stage for Buzzwole and the great challenge stages of Cyndaquil (Winking), Registeel, Groudon, Mimikyu & Dhelmise. The daily Pokemon are Maractus, Dunsparce, Qwilfish, Durant & Heatmor and the once per day Pokemon is Landorus Incarnate Forme. Finally there will be a special stage for Genesect and a Giratina Escalation Battle that will remain for two weeks.
