Turbo Pug DX is heading to Switch, creator Daniel Steer has announced. Steer posted the news on Twitter earlier today with the following message:

Turbo Pug DX is a runner with “passionately crafted environments”, multiple paths, various characters, mini-games, and more. It also sounds like the Switch version will have some exclusive content.

Here’s more on Turbo Pug DX:

Last month, Outright Games announced Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion. The new game will be coming to Switch in Spring 2018. It remains to be seen how the project will turn out, but it sounds promising at least.

One interesting element about the new Adventure Time is the developer behind it. Climax Studios is actually working on the game. They’ve been a bit quiet in more recent years, but you may know the team as the creator of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

It’s also worth pointing out that Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion won’t be a full-priced game at launch. Various retailers such as Amazon have it at $40 as opposed to $60

Zelda: Breath of the Wild wasn’t the only open-world game on Switch last year. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim also just so happened to launch on the system a few months ago.

When creating Breath of the Wild, Skyrim was one game Nintendo looked at to see what it would be like to make an open-world title. However, that doesn’t mean the developers wanted to take specific elements from that game. Instead it was practically used as research.

Last month, we heard that Donna Burke was working on something for Nintendo. Now we know what Burke was teasing at the time.

Burke is the voice of Dr. Coyle, the newest fighter in ARMS. The character was added in via an update late last month.

Burke shared the news about her role on Twitter:

Romancing SaGa and the SaGa series in general has had a long history in the RPG world, first launching in 1989 as The Final Fantasy Legend. While we’ve seen a few SaGa games localized since then, Romancing SaGa 2 in particular never saw a release until recently on mobile a few years ago, before making its way to consoles now just before the new year of 2018. Unfortunately, this is a poor port of the mobile version of the game localized years ago, and not a remaster of the original title on the Super Famicom. This becomes problematic in a lot of ways, and the Switch suffers heavily from it.

Update 2 (1/6): This is now up on GameStop.

Update: Here’s something that you may not realize. In Europe and Japan (as well as the Splatoon 2 bundle), the pink Joy-Con is on the right, and the green controller is on the left. Nintendo is flipping the colors for the standalone release in the states. Not sure why, but there you go.

Original (1/5): Nintendo has confirmed that the Neon Pink and Neon Green Joy-Con will begin to be offered as a standalone product in North America this month. Previously, the controllers were limited to the Splatoon 2 Switch bundle.

Nintendo shared today’s news on Twitter:

The Neon Pink / Neon Green Joy-Con could begin to appear in stores as early as today. They were listed in EB Games Canada’s internal inventory system for January 5.

We found out a few months ago that Immortal Redneck, a first-person shooter set in Egypt with rogue-lite elements, had been rated for Switch in Taiwan. It was a strong sign that the game would eventually end up on the console.

Confirmation has now come in, and Immoral Redneck will indeed be coming to Switch. It will be out sometime in Q1 2018.

For those who missed our original coverage, we’ve included an overview of Immortal Redneck below, plus a trailer.

Following the holiday break, Nintendo has a bunch of maintenance scheduled for next week. Switch, Wii U, and 3DS will all be impacted during several periods. Also, maintenance for Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo and Pokemon Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon is still planned.
