The official website for Great Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo has updated with details on the world and gameplay, as well as a host of new screenshots. The details have been translated by Serebii.
Gameplay revolves around exploring Rhyme City as protagonist Tim Goodman and his partner, Pikachu. Tim is able to interview humans to solve mysteries, while Pikachu interviews Pokémon. The player can also look around specific spots for evidence. Pikachu will sometimes notice details and offer hints or advice. The game also features quick-time events, although these do not seem to affect player progress.
The website has also given numerous details on the characters and world. Pikachu, for example, is able to talk but, because of this, cannot use normal Pokémon moves. Other new characters are also introduced. Mike Baker is the head of the detective agency. Amanda Blackstone is his assistant. Amelia Kristi is a new Assistant Director at a TV Station, and Meiko Okamoto is a TV Director. Pablo Milan is the owner of the High Hat Cafe.
Below are all the new screenshots that were added.
A number of new screenshots from Shin Megami Tensei IV Final have been posted by Joshin web. We’ve rounded them all up below.

After several pieces of concept art shared throughout the week, the latest Zelda: Twilight Princess HD message added to the series’ Twitter account is a bit random. But hey, it does come with a neat GIF!
Here’s the full translation:
“…It’s Malo. Today a so-called designer comes to the village to hold a special lecture… I see, he’s a dextrous guy… If I feel like it, I’ll ask him to renew the signboard for my shop.”

For those that are confused, this seems to be more like a demonstration as to how the designer drew the illustration, as shown in the tweet’s GIF.
Capcom featured Mega Man Legacy Collection once again during its latest online show. A recorded segment with footage of the game can be found below.
Midnight Status is in the process of wrapping up Swap Fire, the indie’s debut project. This is a new first-person shooter slated for the Wii U eShop.
Here’s a brief overview:
“Shooting your opponent opens up a wormhole which swaps your positions. Oust him off the edge in Drop Zone or dominate the map in Control Point. Sharpen your skills in Story Mode or go for gold in Soccer. Whatever your goal, be ever mindful of your spacetime…”
Swap Fire’s controls are certainly unique. The game only uses the Wii Remote, with players holding it horizontally.
Regarding the controls, Midnight Status has this to say:
“Wait a second. An FPS with just a Wii remote? That’s CRAZY.
Here’s the thing: our main goal is to create an awesome/fun couch multiplayer. By now, the Wii U has about a thousand different types of controllers.
We wanted to keep it simple and FAIR with the one type of controller that everybody has, the Wii remote.
While we understand that these controls seem crazy for an FPS, we are confident that they’re fun and easy to use after just a minute of playing.”
Swap Fire is heading towards the end of development. Currently, the team hopes to have it ready sometime by summer.
Nintendo has just posted a new North American commercial for Fire Emblem Fates called “Two Kingdoms”. Check it out below.
