2020Venture is developing a new game for Wii U known as “Chasing Dead”. It’s a sci-fi/horror first-person shooter that will likely be distributed via the eShop.
Here’s an official overview:
When a second Earth unexpectedly and inexplicably appears in our skies, a team of operatives, astronauts, and scientists are sent 955,600 miles across space by NASA and the US Military, however all contact is lost a few hours after their arrival on.
You take the role of a hardened and fearless ex-marine named Jake, whose main objective is to collect any pieces of research left behind by the missing expedition team. You will venture through snowy Russian tundra, traverse the hot deserts of Afghanistan and venture through the ruined cities of Ukraine as you fight off creatures that were created through mankind’s self-destruction. Use any weapon you can find from firearms to blunt instruments to battle the endless hordes of zombies and mutants that plague this alternate Earth. This brave new world is fraught with horrors as players try to survive lethal perils such as a crashing airline flight, an abandoned mine, a dilapidated hospital and a haunted house.
As you collect data modules and listen to logs left behind by the original team, you will steadily come upon the horrifying revelation that lead to this parallel Earth’s demise. But above all else, you must achieve the one thing that no one else on this hellish Earth has been able to do, survive.
Chasing Dead is tentatively scheduled for 2015. Visit the official website here for more information.
