According to a new report from Variety, The Super Mario Bros. has now reached $871 million at the global box office. It is expected to become the first film of the year to reach $1 billion.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie took home $58.23 at the domestic box office this weekend. You can add another $70 million from international showings.
Original (4/15): Pokemon Unite is still trucking along with new playable Pokemon, and it’s now been revealed that Chandelure is set to join the game. An actual release date hasn’t been shared, but we know that it’s planned for this month. Other specifics also haven’t been provided.

CFK has announced that it’s teaming up with developer Uneducated Game Studio to publish a new Switch version of Before the Night. It will be launching later in 2023.
Before the Night is a 2D horror action game that “tells the story of a pet human fighting to survive in a world where human and animal roles have been reversed.” The game involves navigating threats “where master is now pet and adventure to uncover the truths buried within the animal village.”
A final release date for Mercenaries Lament: Silver Wolf and the Seven Stars of the Maiden has been revealed in the west. According to an eShop listing, it’s scheduled to launch on April 28, 2023.

Nintendo and Monolith Soft blew the lid off of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed DLC this week and revealed that it’s coming in just a few days. A bunch of information has since been posted on the official Japanese Twitter account. Details were shared about characters, combat, and other features in the DLC.
Most of the tweets have only been published in Japanese (aside from a few exceptions on Nintendo’s North American Twitter account), but English translations were posted to the unofficial XenobladeEN Twitter account. We’ve rounded up everything below.
Japanese magazine Famitsu recently held a player survey to get feedback on Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet for a variety of questions.
257 of the respondents were men, 256 were women, and 34 are listed as other. 16 were for the 12 or younger crowd, 124 were in their teens, 64 were in their 20s, 185 were in their 30s, 40 were in their 40s, 16 were 50s and older, and 22 didn’t say. Note that responses weren’t required for every question.
