Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – how to get Syrupy Apples and Dipplin
In this guide for the The Teal Mask, the first part of The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, we’ll tell you where to find the Syrupy Apple and its specific location so that you can evolve Applin into Dipplin.
What is Dipplin?
The Candy Apple Pokemon, Dipplin is a new Grass/Dragon evolution of Applin, which evolves with the Syrupy Apple item in The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask downloadable content.
Its Pokedex entry has this to share: “The head sticking out belongs to the fore-wyrm, while the tail belongs to the core-wyrm. The two share one apple and help each other out.”
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet – where to find the Syrupy Apple
The exact location of the Syrupy Apple item in Pokemon Scarlet / Violet’s new DLC to ultimately obtain Dipplin is at the Mossfell Confluence, which is in the bottom corner of the map and close to Mossui Town and Kitakami Hall. This is where you start the game. Cross over the river, hop up the bank, and head to the small farm where you’ll find Syrupy Apples on sale for £500 each.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet – how to evolve Applin into Dipplin
Once you have your Syrupy Apple you’ll need to find an Applin to use it on. If you don’t already have one, you’ll find plenty on Apple Hills, which is just outside of Mossui Town. If you can’t see any running around, check the trees and you’ll find them hanging from the branches. You may also find a Terastalised Applin wandering around the area.
If you haven’t already, you can pick up Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet on Switch, although you will also need to buy The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero DLC to catch Dipplin yourself. The official website for the games can be found here.
