Minecraft Kirby

This week on Nintendo Everything Podcast, Minecraft Kirby blesses us with his presence. Galen goes for treats in Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s Halloween update, while Oni Dino joins the briny depths of The Sinking City. The news is quite hearty this week with Super Mario Bros 35, Mario Kart Home Circuit details, Live A Live revival teases, Pokemon DLC, and the big one: Minecraft Steve in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

A whole bunch of critters just left Animal Crossing: New Horizons to close out September. But now that we’re in October, a new wave of bugs, fish, and underwater creatures can be found in the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was updated to 1.5.0 with major functionality. Players now have access to fall and Halloween features.

There was one unintended side effect of the update, though. Version 1.5.0 introduced a new bug with Nook Miles that Nintendo intends to fix with an upcoming patch.

The company said the following on its Japanese Twitter account, as translated by Oni Dino of Nintendo Everything:

This week’s episode of Nintendo Minute has gone live. In today’s video, Kit and Krysta play Animal Crossing: New Horizons to kick off the fall. Check out the full episode below.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ latest patch introduces new features for the fall season, but that’s not all. We’re hearing reports that the patch has removed some popular hacked items. If you update, they’ll be taken out of your game. On the other hand, if you don’t update, you won’t be able to access the new fall content.

Players have brought various hacked items into Animal Crossing: New Horizons, such as Harv’s fence. Harvey lives alone on Photopia, and much of the island is blocked off with fences. The fence can’t be obtained through regular means, but has become a popular hacked item.

Hacked items don’t provide any real benefits and are mainly used for decoration. However, Nintendo may feel that they’re in violation of their player agreements.
