Atlus

Nintendo has prepared a new Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE trailer under the name “Hyped for Combat”. Check it out below.

Atlus and NIS America recently terminated their relationship. In Europe, it’s an interesting situation. The two sides no longer working together means NIS America won’t be handling any of Atlus’ releases in Europe going forward.

SEGA SVP of commercial publishing John Clark relayed to MCV that the company is “very interested” in taking over NIS’ role. He said:

“We’re very interested in bringing all of the group’s Japanese content not just to the West, but to Europe in particular. We are always trying to find a way. And that’s an on-going process. That’s something we are continually assessing and talking to and if there are really strong opportunities to support the Japanese content in Europe, we’ll do it.”

You would think that SEGA would want to be in charge here since they’re Atlus’ parent company. Hopefully it all works out in the end!

Two more character class trailers are in for Etrian Odyssey V. Here’s a look at the Reaper and Necromancer classes:

Atlus has provided more info on Etrian Odyssey V, as well as a number of screenshots. Many of these details, such as character customization, were covered previously, but the update did provide screenshots, as well as details on two new locations.

The first of these is Jenetta’s Inn. Like any good RPG inn, you can heal the party and save your game there, as well as deposit and withdraw items. Cows and chickens that are captured in dungeons are also kept there, and the innkeeper, Jenetta, will look after them and provide you with eggs, milk, and more ingrediants.

The second location is The Witch’s Twilight Pavilion, run by a woman named Melina. Here, you can take on quests for rewards, as well as get information from other adventurers.

Check out the screenshots below.

New footage from Etrian Odyssey V was recently shown during a SEGA live stream. The recording has since gone online – see below.

Atlus has published an official statement about the removal of Citizens of Earth from the 3DS eShop. It notes that “unforeseen circumstances” caused this to happen, and the company is working with Nintendo to bring it back.

The full message states:

In spite of Atlus citing “unforeseen circumstances”, we all know that the homebrew vulnerability was involved. In any case, at least we know Citizens of Earth will be back on the eShop eventually!

A pair of new Etrian Odyssey V trailers have been published today. Below you’ll find videos for both the Cestus and Masurao character classes.

Our latest look at Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE shows off two of the game’s musical performances. We have videos for carnation” and “Feel” below.

One additional video can be found after the break showing Tiki’s side quesgt.

Citizens of Earth is no longer available on the 3DS eShop, and if you’ve been keeping up with recent news, you probably know why. A homebrew vulnerability was discovered within the game just a few days ago. Nintendo was expected to follow up on that, and they certainly have.

It’s unclear if/when Citizens of Earth will reappear. The exploit will definitely need to be addressed before it returns. The situation is a bit awkward, as Citizens of Earth was just included in the Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle. Redeeming codes from the bundle do still seem to work (currently), so you only can’t purchase the game directly from the eShop.

Thanks to biki4 for the tip.

This week’s issue of Famitsu once again has a sizable update on Etrian Odyssey V. The magazine goes over character creation, job change, facilities, and Master Skills. We’ve summarized all of the information below.

Character Creation

With this game’s character creation features, first you choose the desired race, then their job and looks. You can customize the hair, eye and skin colors. The ‘jobless’ race illustrations can also be used for the character’s looks.
