SteamWorld Collection, the physical bundle that contains both SteamWorld Heist and SteamWorld Dig, was originally slated to launch on October 11th in North America. However, the game has now suffered a slight delay – publisher Rising Star Games had to push the game’s release back to November 1st because of “manufacturing delays”.

Image & Form appears to be pleased with SteamWorld Heist thus far. Not only has the game been received well, but it’s selling quite alright, too. Image & Form CEO Brjann Sigurgeirsson told Nintendo Life that “SteamWorld Heist has done quite a bit better for us than SteamWorld Dig”.

When asked about SteamWorld Heist’s sales performance on 3DS, Sigurgeirsson said:

As of tomorrow, European gamers can now purchase and play SteamWorld Heist on Wii U. In North America, it’ll follow in October. Get a look at some footage from the new console release below.

SteamWorld Heist launches on Wii U in Europe tomorrow, though North America will have it next month. Take a look at the official launch trailer below.

Image & Form is back with the latest episode of its video series, “The Engine Room”. In today’s video, the studio talks about SteamWorld Heist Wii U launch details, including release dates, cross-buy discounts and more. View it below.

The Wii U version of SteamWorld Heist arrives later this week. It’ll cost $19.99 / €19.99 / £14.99, but Image & Form has prepared a couple of discounts.

First off, SteamWorld Heist’s launch price is actually $14.99 / €14.99 / £10.99. Alternatively, those who own SteamWorld Heist for 3DS or SteamWorld Dig on Wii U/3DS will receive an extra discount. This will give you Heist for just $13.99 / €13.39 / £9.99 on Wii U.

Image & Form is preparing two new Hatbox DLC packs for SteamWorld Heist. Both are already out on Steam, but are coming soon to other platforms.

The new DLC contains thirteen hats that can be worn in battle. Three are free in the first pack, which contains winners from Image & Form’s community hat design contest. The other is “Hatful Eight + 2” – a box of ten fresh (eight are animated) hats inspired by classic sci-fi and fantasy.

We got a small look at the North American SteamWorld Collection boxart when Image & Form confirmed the package for North America a couple of weeks ago, but now we have a better (and full-sized) look. See the image above.

As we’ve known for quite some time, Image & Form has no plans to end the SteamWorld series. New games will continue to be made, and it seems we have a name (even if it’s tentative) for the next entry. “SteamWorld Quest” was spotted in an official document published on the Creative Europe website.

It’s obviously too soon for Image & Form to be talking about the project, as it hasn’t been extremely long since SteamWorld Heist wrapped up, and it’s still getting support.

Image & Form community manager Julius Guldbog said of the finding:

“Look at that! We’ll share more about our next game when the time is right. It’s so deep in its initial stage that there’s no point in talking about it.”
