A new update has gone live for the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app. Implementing bug fixes, the details of the patch can be found below:

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service launched a few weeks ago, but not without some issues – primarily when it comes to N64 games.

Those that subscribe to the new Expansion Pack tier can access SEGA Genesis and N64 titles. SEGA Genesis seems to be mostly fine, but it’s with Nintendo’s classic console that some players haven’t been happy with the quality of emulation. Input lag, latency, and the lack of controller remapping are among the complaints users have brought up.

Outside of the Switch Online Game Trial, The World Ends with You: Final Remix will soon be having a sale. Nintendo and Square Enix will discount the RPG be 30 percent between November 10 and November 23. The same sale is also currently live for NEO: The World Ends with You, though it will end slightly earlier on November 19.

Additionally, Furukawa reiterated that the company “will continue to improve and expand both Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, striving to provide services that satisfy consumers.”

Furukawa stated:

Those in North America were able to offer the same trial in mid September. Players in Europe will now be able to experience all parts of the game starting on November 10.

Here’s some information about Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town:

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service has been a popular topic concerning Nintendo recently. The way in which the company handled the addition of new features to its online plan was received with a lot of feedback and a good amount of criticism. Initially the biggest problem was pricing, but now after this week’s launch that happened on October 25, some fans are complaining about a number of elements pertaining to the quality of the service, including emulation and online stability.

For today’s video, I decided to record a video not alone, but with my colleague and reviewer here on Nintendo Everything, Dennis. We discussed some interesting points from this whole situation in our lengthy video – I hope that you guys enjoy it. Check out the full talk below.

Twitter user MondoMega has extracted new information about potential plans for Nintendo Switch Online thanks to a recent datamine.

It goes without saying that additional titles are planned for the future. At least on the N64 side of things, Nintendo has already confirmed several heavy hitters, including Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Paper Mario, Pokemon Snap, and Banjo-Kazooie.

switch n64 comparison

GameXplain has shared a new video comparison for N64 games on Switch and the original hardware.

Last night, the first batch of N64 titles were made available on the Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. GameXplain’s video shows off Super Mario 64, Yoshi’s Story, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, Dr. Mario 64, and Mario Tennis. Strictly from a visual perspective, titles seem to be brighter on Switch. However, some players have complained about fog on Nintendo’s current console, particular when it comes to Zelda.
