best platinumgames nintendo games ranked

Nintendo has a good number of partners developers that they usually work with, one of the most prominent ones being PlatinumGames. Ever since the Wii U era, we’ve always been look forward to seeing what the two sides are cooking up together. Just recently we saw a new trailer for Bayonetta 3, the next game coming out from their partnership.

In the video below you’ll find a small “top four” ranking all Nintendo and PlatinumGames collaborations so far. Of course this is just based on my own opinion – feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments.

Bayonetta nudity

Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya has reaffirmed that Nintendo has never requested to make the series less risqué.

The Naive Angel Mode was revealed for Bayonetta 3 earlier this month. When it’s enabled, the character won’t reveal as much skin. However, its inclusion doesn’t have anything to do with a specific request from Nintendo based on Kamiya’s comments.

He wrote on Twitter this week:

project gg Takao Yamane

We heard this week that Takao Yamane left Nintendo after spending nearly thirty years with the company for PlatinumGames. At the studio, he’s now the company’s new vice president.

Further details about Yamane joining PlatinumGames have now surfaced thanks to a new interview with Famitsu. We also get to hear a bit more about Project G.G. and more.

PlatinumGames Takao Yamane

Famitsu is reporting that Takao Yamane has joined PlatinumGames. Although he’s not a name that immediately comes to mind when thinking of Nintendo, he spent nearly thirty years with the company.

Yamane started out as vice president of Nintendo France SARL, which he held for eight years. After that he spent over eighteen years as Nintendo of Europe’s managing director of sales planning and strategy. He closed out his run as general manager of the licensing department at Nintendo Co., Ltd.

Original: Nintendo and PlatinumGames have set a final release date for Bayonetta 3. The game will launch on October 28, the two sides revealed today.

Here are the latest details:

Nintendo and PlatinumGames have readied a new batch of screenshots for Bayonetta 3. The images provide another look at the upcoming Switch title.

For more on Bayonetta 3, read the following overview:

Bayonetta 3 Naive Angel Mode

PlatinumGames has revealed more information about Bayonetta 3, and we now have word that the game will include a Naive Angel Mode.

Bayonetta has always been a mature series. But with this new feature, PlatinumGames says “more people can fully enjoy it” and “you can play right in the living room without having to worry about what’s on screen.” When the option is on, characters will show a little less skin as they’ll be more covered up. It goes without saying, but this is completely optional.

bayonetta 1 switch physical release

Nintendo has revealed that the original Bayonetta will be receiving a standard physical release on Switch. The company says that there’ll be a “limited number” that will be offered for pre-order “via select retailers” as well as at launch through the My Nintendo Store.

Bayonetta 1 technically has a physical release on Switch already. However, it was only provided as part of the Japanese collector’s edition which was bundled with Bayonetta 2.

Sol Cresta update 1.0.4

PlatinumGames has issued a new update for Sol Cresta, with the game moving up to version 1.0.4.

Fixes and adjustments are included this time around. For instance, PlatinumGames changed the hit detection size of the Yamato with 2 or 3 ships combined.

The full patch notes are as follows:

NieR: Automata physical

Original (6/29): NieR: Automata has finally been confirmed for Switch and will be sold as The End of YoRHa Edition. During today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Square Enix and PlatinumGames shared the news. It will launch on October 6, 2022.
