Salt and Sanctuary dev says the game “sold super well” in its first week on Switch, rivaled first week Steam numbers

Ska Studios hasn’t provided specific sales figures for Salt and Sanctuary on Switch. But according to the developer’s Michelle Juett it “sold super well” in its first week on the eShop. Juett also mentioned that it rivaled Salt and Sanctuary’s first week Steam numbers.
While Ska Studios is keeping quiet on specifics, Salt and Sanctuary was the fourth best-selling digital game on the eShop during the past week. It was also the eighth best-selling Switch title overall.

Square Enix on Octopath Traveler exceeding expectations, can expect similar games in the future

Square Enix held its own conference for financial results earnings earlier today. The company had quite a bit to say about the performance of Octopath Traveler.
The new Switch RPG had sales stronger than Square Enix’s pre-sales forecast. Moreover, it exceeded expectations especially in the United States and Europe. The game also saw higher-than-average ratio of download version vs. packaged.

New sales data is in from the UK for the month of July 2018.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy leads the way, taking the top spot. Mario Tennis Aces and Octopath Traveler also appear at #8 and #9 respectively.

Octopath Traveler ships one million units worldwide

Octopath Traveler has managed to reach a major milestone. The RPG has shipped one million copies worldwide, Nintendo and Square Enix have announced. That figure is based on shipments and eShop downloads.

Konami said a few months ago that Super Bomberman R was approaching one million copies worldwide. That goal has been officially reached, the company confirmed today.
The news was celebrated with a new video, posted below, of Bomberman bungee jumping. Because why not?
