Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Temple of Osiris Switch

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light as well as Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris are both coming to Switch, Square Enix just announced. The company is teaming up with Feral Interactive, the studio that previously brought GRID Autosport and Alien: Isolation to the console.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light initially released in 2010. Then in 2014, Crystal Dynamics made Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. These games mark the debut of the Tomb Raider franchise on Switch.

Below are overviews and trailers for both titles:

Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars lands on Switch tomorrow, and we now have gameplay from the final release. The RPG comes from creative director Yoko Taro, composer Keiichi Okabe, and character designer Kimihiko Fujisaka of NieR and Drakengard fame.

Triangle Strategy has received a “Challenge Your Convictions” trailer from Nintendo today. It’s worth pointing out that it’s not entirely new, as it’s largely the same as the TGS 2021 video we previously posted. However, it can now be seen in English.

Dragon Quest X Offline gameplay

As part of a new episode of the PlayStation Japan “Play! Play! Play!” broadcast, Square Enix and B.B. Studio released the very first gameplay of Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Offline today. Although we did see a new trailer earlier in the month, this is a proper look at pure footage.

Dragon Quest X initially came to Wii in 2012 as an MMORPG. Later on it was made available on additional platforms, including 3DS and Switch. The Offline edition was then revealed back in May.

kingdom hearts switch ports

There may still be a glimmer of hope for native Kingdom Hearts ports on Switch.

During the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation unveiling Sora for the game last week, it was revealed that all of the major titles will be appearing on the console. But rather than going the native route, Square Enix is putting all of the games on the cloud. That means you’re required to have an internet connection to play, which many fans aren’t happy about.

It sounds like nothing is in the works at present, but speaking with Nintendo Life, Kingdom Hearts series producer Ichiro Hazama left the door slightly open to the possibility of native ports on Switch in the future. Although the team previously ran into issues such as “the storage capacity of the hardware”, true ports are “undecided” and Square Enix is “excited to hear feedback from our fans”.
