Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is playable on Switch at PAX East 2019, and new footage has emerged from the playable demo. Check out the gameplay below.

Note that due to an issue with the setup at the demo station, there is no audio in the video above – what you hear has been added in.

Dragon Quest Builders 2

New footage of Dragon Quest Builders 2 has been taken from PAX East 2019. Take a look at plenty of English gameplay below.

Square Enix has offered a look at the reversible cover for Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster in PAL regions. Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand will be receiving what’s shown above. Square Enix says that the cover sleeve “features a much more detailed look at both Tidus and Yuna on the reverse”.

As promised, Square Enix held its latest broadcast for Dragon Quest XI S today. Quite a bit of information was shared throughout the hour-long presentation.

First up, here’s a listing of the latest Japanese voice actors as well as brand new features for the Switch version as provided by Gematsu:

Over the past couple of years, we’ve repeatedly heard from Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida about wanting to have the MMORPG on more platforms, including Switch. The only barrier brought up in the past relates to cross-platform play. Nintendo and Microsoft fully support the feature, and Sony is starting to get on board as well. That means a Switch version is even more likely to happen now.

Speaking with GameSpot, Yoshida confirmed that Square Enix is still talking with Nintendo as well as other companies and are currently “in negotiations”. He said:

Final Fantasy VII hasn’t appeared on a Nintendo system – until now. The classic RPG has launched on the eShop, and we have some footage below.

Fun fact: the analog stick used during this recording was constantly drifting to the left, which made for an interesting experience…
