Let’s Talk #30: What are you playing? – November 2015

On Thursday, Nintendo finally presented a new Nintendo Direct. Fans were waiting a long, long time for this one.

The new Nintendo Direct was light on brand new game reveals, but there were still plenty of noteworthy announcements. Zelda: Twilight Princess HD was finally confirmed. The original Pokemon games are finally coming to the 3DS Virtual Console in February. Two Dragon Quest games are heading west next year. And the big one: Cloud is coming to Smash Bros. There were other things mixed in as well like Splatoon gear/maps, new/free DLC for Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, and Pokemon Picross. Heck, we even saw a few more seconds of Zelda Wii U footage, which I think came as a surprise to many.

What did you guys think of the latest Nintendo Direct? Are you satisfied with what was shown? Or were you left wanting more? Any thoughts on specific announcements? Let us know in the comments below!

It’s been a very busy day for amiibo news. We’ve heard about new Animal Crossing figures plus Famicom R.O.B coming to North America, and we even saw a first look at the Ryu amiibo.

That’s not all though. Found it what seems to be a GameStop display is confirmation of another amiibo exclusive. In the United States, you’ll only be able to purchase Roy at GameStop.

A Target display has revealed the existence of a brand new amiibo. At some point in the future, Nintendo will be launching the Timmy & Tommy Nook figure. Target’s display indicates that this amiibo will be exclusive to the retailer in the United States.

Aside from the Timmy & Tommy Nook amiibo, there’s another important item included in Target’s retail display. It appears that the Famicom R.O.B. amiibo is heading west based on the image above. Nintendo hasn’t made any official announcements yet, but there’s no reason for it to be featured in the display if it isn’t coming over.

It was just a few days ago that we heard about another Puzzle & Dragons game for 3DS via CoroCoro. Thanks to a newly-emerged scan, the title is confirmed to be “Puzzle & Dragons X”.

The scan, pictured above, admittedly doesn’t show a ton. It looks like we have a first look at the main character who is capable of turning into a knight. Aside from that, a pair of monsters are depicted.

Puzzle & Dragons X is heading to the 3DS in Japan next year. More information about the project should be shared soon.

Imageepoch’s unfortunate demise doesn’t go without a stellar track record with games like 7th Dragon, Fate/Extra, and the Luminous Arc series that have all delivered unprecedented RPG experiences across a variety of platforms since their founding in 2005. The studio’s final game, Stella Glow, is a title that they can proudly leave with as the developers embark on future endeavors. Stella Glow is a beautifully animated and vibrant world that is as fun as it is nice to look at.

We recently got our hands on Xenoblade Chronicles X ahead of its western launch early next month. In the video below, you’ll be able to view over an hour of footage from the game.
