Last year, Nintendo offered digital-only rewards on Club Nintendo for those who reached Elite Status (Platinum/Gold Status). This was quite a big change since, in the past, we saw gifts like a figurine, Majora’s Mask soundtrack, and more.

It’s looking like the 2015 Elite Status rewards will once again be digital-only. With the closure of Club Nintendo on the horizon, I suppose it’s not entirely surprising.

Check out this blurb from the official Club Nintendo discontinuation notice:

In order to reach Elite Status, you must earn 300 Coins (for Gold Status) or 600 Coins (for Platinum Status) between July 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015. Members who reach Elite Status will be able to choose a downloadable game from a wide selection of Nintendo 3DS and Wii U titles. Your free Elite Status gift will be available between April 1 and April 30, 2015. A list of the Elite Status 2015 gifts will be posted here once announced.

You can check out all of this month’s Club Nintendo rewards right here. They’ll be available through June 30.

Thanks to Mr. Johnson for the tip.

Nintendo will be appearing at the first PAX South event in San Antonio, Texas later this week, the company announced today.

Attendees will be able to go hands on with the New 3DS XL before it launches on February 13. Additionally, Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will be playable.

Nintendo is celebrating the upcoming launch of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D with a “72-Hour Mask Challenge”. This asks fans to create their own personalized masks. More information will be published on Nintendo of America’s Twitter account.

Also tying in to promote Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, fans will be able to take photos with a real-life replica of the Majora’s Mask and receive paper versions to wear around the convention (while supplies last). Those who come dressed in costumes inspired by The Legend of Zelda will be able to bypass lines to get hands-on time with the 3DS game.

PAX South runs between January 23 and January 25. Head past the break for today’s complete announcement.

505 Games appears to be bringing Terraria to Nintendo platforms, based on GameFly listings. The retailer has Terraria listed for both Wii U and 3DS.

GameFly lists an October 31 release date for both versions. However, this is likely a placeholder.

Terraria was once thought to be out of the question for Wii U and 3DS. I wonder what changed!

UPDATE: It looks like all other regions are following up with similar announcements including Nintendo of America, Japan, Australia and more.

Original story: Nintendo of Europe announced today that Club Nintendo will be phased out in favour of a new rewards system. Not much is known about the new system but Nintendo have ensured that prior to Club Nintendo’s expiration on September 30th 2015, there’ll be plenty of new and existing rewards to spend your remaining stars on. Here’s the full press release:

We have some good news for those who have been on the lookout for Wii U’s GameCube controller adapter. Some consumers are starting to see stock return to stores – including one Best Buy in Dallas, Texas. This likely means that we should begin seeing the adapter at other locations across the United States as well.
