Renegade Kid has pulled back the curtain on Moon Chronicles, its new first-person shooter for the 3DS eShop.

Here’s what we know about the game, courtesy of IGN’s report:

– Episodic model
– Season one is a remake of the original DS game
– Pricing structure:

Episode 1: $8.99 (contains chapters 1 – 4 + 6 VR Missions: ~4 hours of gameplay).

Episode 3 (as DLC): $1.99 (contains chapters 9 – 12: ~2 hours of gameplay).
Episode 4 (as DLC): $1.99 (contains chapters 13 – 16: ~2 hours of gameplay).

– Second season will likely come next year
– This will feature brand new content that takes place after the original

“We’re big fans of TV shows like Lost. We love shows that really cement the feeling where you watch an episode, you have a cliffhanger, and you absolutely need to watch the next one.”

“That’s our plan for season two and beyond, [for us] to approach it in a similar way. ‘What’s the whole point of the season? Where do we start and where do we end up?’” – Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham

– Rebuilt from the ground up to take advantage of the 3D screen
– 60 frames-per-second (with/without 3D)
– Re-touched detailed geometry and graphics
– Circle Pad Pro support
– Out in spring 2014

Nintendo Everything has received confirmation from Muteki Corporation that Dragon Fantasy: Book I as well as Dragon Fantasy: Book II are in the works for the 3DS.

Dragon Fantasy: Book I should be hitting the eShop sometime this spring. Book 2 will likely follow “as early as in the fall or winter,” according to the studio’s creative director Adam Rippon.

Dragon Fantasy: Book I previously landed on a number of platforms including the PS3, PS Vita, PC, and iOS. However, Nintendo’s handheld should end up receiving the definitive version. That’s because Muteki has made a bunch of changes/additions for the new release, such as the inclusion of 3D visuals, built-in maps of towns/dungeons, dual screen battles, the ability to turn off/on random battles, and more.

You can find a few exclusive screenshots from the 3DS version of Dragon Fantasy: Book I above. We’ll have more details about the game in an interview due to be published this weekend.

EA chief operating officer Peter Moore has responded directly to a recent report concerning Wii U.

Yesterday, CVG published a piece about the console, which included some comments from a supposed source within the company. The unnamed person said that “Nintendo was dead to us very quickly” – among other things.

Moore took to Twitter earlier today and responded to those remarks, writing:

Moore also had a brief exchange with Rob Crossley, the writer of CVG’s Nintendo article:

European ratings board PEGI has listed “Inazuma Eleven” for 3DS in its database.

It doesn’t appear to be related to the upcoming release of Team Ogre Attacks, and interestingly, the name was filed by Level-5 International America. Nintendo of Europe has been associated all previous Inazuma Eleven ratings, but not this one.

It’s even more interesting when you consider that “Inazuma Eleven” was recently listed on Nintendo’s US site. Although it was eventually removed, today’s PEGI rating may indicate that some sort of new Inazuma Eleven product is coming to North America and Europe.

Along with the screenshot, Sakurai passed on the following message via Miiverse:

Pic of the day. This is definitely not a friendly girls night out…

3DS owners can now download a small update for the system. Version 7.1.0-15 makes “Further improvements to overall system stability” and provides “other minor adjustments” to the “user experience,” Nintendo has confirmed. Note that you’ll need the latest firmware in order to access the eShop.
