March 21: Tails of Iron is getting a sequel in the form of Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. The game, which was just announced, is coming to Switch – though there’s no release window.
Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is a new action RPG in which players will take on the role of Arlo, heir to the Warden of the Wastes, as they adventure through harsh northern lands, home to giant beasts and ragtag bandits. The end goal is to overcome an ancient, blood-starved evil.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron will soon be coming to Switch after its original launch more than a decade ago. In a recent interview with Famitsu, director Sawaki Takeyasu spoke about how this version of the game came to be.
Takeyasu indicated that fan requests spurred things on initially. However, if not for middleware developer Aqualead and its engine, the port may not have happened.

According to Monolith Soft co-founder and Xenoblade executive director Tetsuya Takahashi, the company wants to focus more on expressions in the future.
With each Xenoblade game, Monolith Soft seems to improve upon things like cutscene direction, character models, and more. Characters were the most expressive they’ve ever been in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, but it sounds like Takahashi and the rest of the team isn’t satisfied just yet.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy confirmed for English release on Switch in the west

March 1: Idea Factory will publish the recently-announced Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy on Switch in the west with English support, the company just announced.
The set was previously confirmed for the console in Japan this week. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 Sisters Generation, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation will now be coming to Nintendo’s console, though Idea Factory indicates that these will be digital releases.

February 29: Today, THQ Nordic finally shared the release date for Biomutant on Switch. Players on Nintendo’s console can experience the open-world RPG on May 14, 2024.
Biomutant was first confirmed for Switch in May 2023. There was some talk that it would be out sometime last year, but that didn’t turn out to be the case.

Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact announced for Switch

March 8: The new Hunter x Hunter game, titled Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, has now been confirmed for Switch. A release window hasn’t been provided.
Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact is a 2D fighter, but beyond that, not much is known. A teaser was shared to start the year which we have below.

April 24: Nintendo is always protective of its IPs, and that stance is now impacting Garry’s Mod which is being forced to take down content for the game.
Garry’s Mod, a sandbox title, has been around for nearly two decades. It was no stranger to tons of different mods, including ones tied to Nintendo. However, the company is now issuing takedown notices that will affect creations that extend all the way back to the release in 2006.

New details have come to light about improvements planned for the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Switch remake, including additions like the Nostalgic Tunes badge that lets players experience the music from the GameCube original.
