Sonic Forces

Recently, Famitsu spoke with Sonic series producer Takashi Iizuka and Sonic Forces producer Shun Nakamura. The two had much to say about the brand new custom character aspect and more.

First, Famitsu asked about the details on why character customization was added in Sonic Forces. Iizuka said that for many years in which he had been working on Sonic games, he received a ton of requests from fans to have their own original characters appear. While he has never been able to put in those characters exactly as they are, he still wanted to make those dreams come true, so SEGA decided to add a custom character that will fight together with Sonic.

Update: Since the live stream is ongoing, here’s a video with just the footage:

A new form for Lycanroc for Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon was just revealed on the Japanese Pokemon show Pokenchi. Official details have since come in as well.

This evolution is known as Dusk Form Lycanroc. Here’s the official rundown:

It’s been confirmed that a new form of Lycanroc appears in the world of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon-Dusk Form. The colors of Dusk Form Lycanroc’s body and eyes differ from those of previously discovered Lycanroc, Midday Form and Midnight Form.

You can’t get Dusk Form Lycanroc on your team by ordinary methods, such as discovering the mysterious Pokémon in the wild.

So check back soon for news on how you can get Dusk Form Lycanroc, along with more details on the upcoming Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon games.

Unfortunately, that’s all we saw from Pokenchi – nothing else on Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon.

Nintendo had its own Treehouse Live type of setup at Japan Expo last month, and one of the games featured was Xenoblade Chronicles 2. While it was the same area shown at E3, not all battles played out similarly. Check out the full video below.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon were announced two months ago. While we haven’t seen much of either game, that could be changing very soon.

On tonight’s episode of the Japanese show Pokenchi, Pokemon Sun/Moon director Shigeru Ohmori will be making an appearance. He’ll apparently be talking about the latest Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon information and will deliver a “shock announcement” regarding the anime.

Meanwhile, the next issue of CoroCoro could be leaking very shortly. Speculation has pointed to a possible new Lycanroc form. Although not confirmed, the cover has an image of what looks like Lycanroc with a different color scheme and a few aesthetic changes.

We recently came across an interview French website Gamekult conducted at E3. The site caught up with Philippe Lavoué, managing director of Nintendo France. Since we felt it was interesting enough, we decided to go ahead with a full, proper translation.

In the interview, Lavoué touched on many different topics. This includes Switch and third-parties (more games are coming), mobile, and the staying power of amiibo.

We’ve posted the fully translated interview below. Just keep in mind the context of when it was conducted – specifically for questions such as a NES Classic Edition followup.
