Voez

As we reported previously, rhythm game Voez is getting a physical release in Japan. Among other things, this will add TV mode support, allowing the game to be played with a controller instead of just with the touchscreen. This version now has a concrete release date: January 25th, 2018. Also, the total number of downloads for the digital version now stands at 45,000, up from 40,000 last month.

The end of the week means another new weapon for Splatoon 2. The Range Blaster, as its name implies, has a fairly long range for a blaster, but at the cost of a lower rate of fire. It comes with the Suction Bomb sub-weapon and the Ink Storm special. It’ll be available tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later tonight in North America.

Nintendo of Europe has announced via a press release that a demo for Kirby Battle Royale will be available on the 3DS eShop today. The demo will let you try out three of the game’s ten battle modes. Plus, if you transfer your save file to the full version of the game, you can unlock Meta Knight as a playable character right from the start – normally you would need to complete the game’s story mode to unlock him.

So far this announcement only pertains to Europe – we don’t know yet if the demo will be available on the North American eShop as well today. We will have confirmation in a couple of hours though. Kirby Battle Royale launches on November 3rd in Europe and on January 19th in North America.

The latest Switch firmware update added a new video capture feature to the system – however, it currently only works with four specific first-party titles: ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. One title is soon going to be added to that list though – Nintendo confirmed via Twitter that Super Mario Odyssey will support the new video capture function as well.
