Earlier today, the special Fire Emblem Heroes livestream called FEH Channel aired on Youtube, and it contained a wealth of new information. A post on the Fire Emblem Heroes subreddit has provided an excellent summary for everything that was revealed.

Some time was devoted to the Hero Fest event, which is now live. What’s coming next to the game is a lot more interesting however. The next Grand Hero Battle will feature the Nohrian prince Xander. Xander will come with his unique weapon Siegfried (16 Mt, allows him to counterattack at any range) as well as the skills Blazing Light, Armored Blow and Spur Defense.

Head past the break for more info on upcoming content, such as the next Voting Gauntlet and new game mechanics.

A new event has gone live in Fire Emblem Heroes – the Hero Fest. Until May 8th, everyone will receive 2 orbs as a special daily login. Also, until May 7th, SP received in battle is doubled.

The big draw for this event, however, is the new summoning focus. Not only are the featured characters some of the strongest currently in the game (Hector, Takumi, Azura and Ryoma) but the base chance for getting a 5-star character on this focus is 5%, instead of the usual 3%.

The New 2DS XL was only just revealed today, and it already has its first special edition. The Bubble Metal Slime New 2DS XL will be available in Japan on July 29th for 22,480 Yen. It will be released in a bundle with a physical version of Dragon Quest XI. In addition to that, the bundle also contains a download code for a Bubble Metal Slime home menu theme.

Nintendo has steadily been revealing some new information about ARMS recently, mostly through the game’s official Japanese Twitter account. It’s been interesting stuff like alternate costumes, but nothing too major. Today, however, they revealed an entirely new fighter – Helix. Turns out that the “Lab” stage that has been showcased a lot lately is his “home” stage as Helix seems to be a creation of this lab. His design is inspired by DNA strands (and he is literally called “DNA Man” in the Japanese version). Check out his reveal trailer:

Incidentally, Helix is one of the four characters that were accidentally revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild recently graced the cover of EDGE magazine, and another first-party Nintendo game will soon follow in its tracks. ARMS will be on the cover of EDGE magazine issue #306 with the caption “Nintendo’s stunning new fighting game lands the killer blow for Switch”. Sounds like the magazine’s editors have pretty high hopes for the game. If you’re a subscriber, by the way, you will instead get this exclusive cover art of Spring Man getting punched in the face:
