This week’s issue of Famitsu has some pretty extensive coverage of Level-5 since the company is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Among other things, Famitsu reveals a new game from Level-5 coming to Nintendo Switch – or rather, an old one: Ushiro, a game that was initially revealed in 2008 and was supposed to be released for Sony’s PSP, but never actually came out. The game was teased as a horror RPG; you can take a look at an old trailer for it below:

That said, ten years is a long time, so who knows how the game has changed by now. We should have more information once the full issue of Famitsu is out tomorrow.

Preview images of this week’s Famitsu magazine have appeared online, and they have revealed that a new game in the Atelier series is under development at Koei Tecmo and Gust. Specifically, this game will be the fourth entry in the Arland series of games – the first three games conveniently were recently re-released as deluxe versions on Nintendo Switch in Japan, with a Western release coming up on December 4th. Not much was revealed other than the teaser image you can see above, although Famitsu does point out that a new scene was present in the DX version of Atelier Meruru, which already teased that a new game in the series is coming:

Technically we don’t know yet if this new game will be on Nintendo Switch, but given Koei Tecmo’s support for the system, we’d be surprised if it wasn’t. We should have more information once we get our hands on the full version of Famitsu tomorrow.

Animal Crossing is one of Nintendo’s tentpole franchises today, but it all started with the original Animal Crossing on Nintendo 64. The game never ended up being released outside Japan, but it seems like at least an English localization was planned at some point. John Ricciardi of localization studio 8-4 shared the first ever English press material for Animal Crossing today, which you can see above.

As you can see, not much work had been done on the localization front at that point – the game’s title was “Animal Forest”, a literal translation of the franchise’s Japanese name “doubutsu no mori”, and the characters are simply called “Dog Policeman”, “Pelican Postman” and “Raccoon” instead of Copper, Pete and Tom Nook.

Announced yesterday, the Brave Redux Summoning Focus has now gone live in Fire Emblem Heroes. Loki: The Trickster, Owain: Chosen One and Kliff: Curious Spirit are the focus units. The Focus will be available until November 9th. There are also corresponding paralogue chapters and quests that can get you extra orbs.

The third round of the Heroic Feats event has ended in success, meaning that all players will receive a 4-star Marisa: Crimson Flash. The fourth and final round has started today. This time, the goal is to send Heroes with accessories into battle a total of 100 million times until October 31st. The reward for the final round is a 4-star Oliver: Admirer of Beauty.

Atlus published another trailer for Persona Q2 today – however, instead of the usual character trailer, we got one focused on one of the dungeons in the game, “Junessic Land”:

The next Fishing Tourney event will start tomorrow in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. This is actually the Halloween event that was teased a couple of days ago, so get ready to fish if you want some Halloween-themed clothing.
