triangle strategy interview

Nintendo shared a new Triangle Strategy interview this week with two of the game’s prominent developers, Tomoya Asano and Yasuaki Arai. As part of the discussion, we again get to hear about how Square Enix settled on the name. They also covered some other notable topics like the game’s plot, why multi-tiered maps were included, and more.

Bugsnax Switch

Bugsnax was announced for Switch this week, but Young Horses hadn’t shared any Switch-specific assets. That changes now thanks to first screenshots. A few images have now popped up on the eShop showing what to expect from the Switch edition.

A new piece of key art for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been spotted on Nintendo’s website.

The image itself isn’t easily accessible as it’s not on the game page. However, it definitely appears to stem directly from Nintendo’s website based on the original URL. We have the shot attached above, but you can also give it a look directly here.

As Far As The Eye

Goblinz Publishing and developer Unexpected revealed today that As Far As The Eye is coming to Switch. The roguelike turn-based resource-management game will release on September 10, 2022.

In As Far As The Eye, players will need to build a mobile village and travel with their tribe toward the center of the world to a place known as The Eye. It has procedural situations, natural events, skill-trees, and hard choices. Expect a new adventure each time as part of the game’s Roguelike tribe system. Various modifiers are also included such as duration, halt size, resources generation, and more. Something that’s interesting to note is that the game doesn’t have any enemies.

Bethesda Spring 2022 Switch eShop sale

A new sale has kicked off featuring a variety of Bethesda games, including Doom titles, Quake, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Wolfenstein. Fans can save up to 67 percent off. It’s worth noting that Quake has its biggest discount ever right now.

Domee Shi, the director of Pixar / Disney’s Turning Red movie, was able to find some inspiration from some notable Nintendo games like Pokemon.

Growing up, she played Pokemon and Zelda on devices such as the Game Boy Color and DS Lite. Shi was limited to handheld systems as her parents didn’t exactly approve of her hobby. But since they were portable, she could continue playing games by hiding them under her pillow longer than her parents allowed.

Tormented Souls trailer

Tormented Souls finally came to Switch this week, and a new trailer celebrates the news. The video also provides a look at the survival horror title on Nintendo’s console.

Roguebook release date

Roguebook finally has a release date on Switch. The roguelike deckbuilder will hit the console on April 21, 2022, according to an eShop listing.

Roguebook was announced in January 2021. We then found out this past February that the title would be making its way to Switch sometime this spring. Today marks the first time we have an actual release date.
