Espeon is joining Pokemon Unite as the game’s next playable character, it’s been announced. All players will have access starting on May 16, 2022.

Thus far, it’s only been confirmed that Espeon will be ranged attacker. Other than that, no other information has been shared. A trailer has also yet to be published, though that may follow at a later date.

A new May 2022 Indie World Showcase is set to take place tomorrow, May 11, Nintendo has announced. The presentation will cover roughly 20 minutes of upcoming indie titles for Switch.

Happy Juice Games today announced that Lost in Play, its upcoming point-and-click puzzle adventure, will be made available on Switch. Fans can look for it to arrive this summer.

Curious Expedition 2 Shores of Taishi

Thunderful and Maschinen-Mensch today announced Shores of Taishi for Curious Expedition 2, a new piece of DLC for the narrative roguelike adventure.

The DLC is highlighted by the new island type Celestial Shores, which contains a completely new set of tiles, a new game mechanic related to teleporting between islets, and the new Peacock Tribe. It also lets players recruit six new characters to their party, including Red Panda, Tanuki, Ghost Catcher and Warrior Peacock. That’s along with six new enemy types, four new locations, six new pieces of equipment, seven new Sanity Items, seven new Trophies, and four new levels to unlock.

Sword of the Vagrant

Famitsu has provided a release date on the Switch version of The Vagrant, which will be called Sword of the Vagrant. According to the magazine, it’s slated to launch this June.

Sword of the Vagrant was confirmed for Switch back in March 2020. A release window was not provided at the time.

Metroid Dread is now the series’ best-selling entry of all time, according to the latest data from Nintendo.

As we saw earlier today, Metroid Dread is at 2.90 million copies sold. That means it has overtaken Metroid Prime, which sold 2.84 million units.

In its latest financial results, Nintendo highlighted how Switch saw the highest level of software sell-through for a single hardware family from the company.

The console saw a 1.8 increase in software sales during the most recent fiscal year. Having hit 235.07 million units, that’s how the record was achieved.

kirby forgotten land global sales

Nintendo provided its financial results today, and alongside that, updated its list of million sellers. We have updated sales figures for a variety of Switch titles.

One of the big new releases is Kirby and the Forgotten Land. By the end of Nintendo’s reporting period, global sales were already at 2.65 million. Another new title is Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which has sold 12.64 million copies. We also see that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remains the top dog with over 45.33 million.

Alongside Nintendo’s financial results for May 2022, the company’s latest release schedule has been provided. It highlights upcoming projects from both a first and third-party perspective.

To be fair, there’s not a ton here that we didn’t already know. Bayonetta 3 is a title that we haven’t heard about in a number of months, but is at least still planned for 2023. Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was already delayed to Spring 2023, has its updated release window here. Advance Wars also has no new date after being delayed indefinitely.
